The staff were lovely. Disappointed that coffee is only available in one size so had to order two !! Wasn't over impressed at the bread starter. Salad leaves could have been fresher on the main.

We booked on line but restaurant had no booking for us, shen we arrived. We were offered a table the service was good atmosphere pleasant. Unfortunately more than one item we wanted was sold out or not stocked, disappointed but meal was pleasant, but nothing special.

We needed somewhere close to the Apex and remembered visiting Carluccio's several years ago. We received a warm, friendly welcome and we were served very quickly. The foccacia was delicious, the mushroom risotto tasty and the spaghetti carbonara generous. I enjoyed the chocolate bread and butter pudding but I'm sure it would have been better warm. My partner ordered a carbonara and quite frankly I my first thought was that it was a child's portion, barely covering to bottom of the dish. He did not want me to complain as we were going to the theatre and having already waited quite a while there was no time to ask for a fresh meal. He has had this dish many times before and said that the actual carbonara fell way below the usual standard.

Carluccio's in Bury St. Edmunds is a chain restaurant, but the personal touch really sets it apart. The attentive staff and great service, along with consistently delicious dishes from the kitchen, make it an excellent dining option. While the decor may look a bit dated, the location, large picture windows, and deli full of tasty treats more than make up for it. With good value, delicious food, and great service, what more could you ask for?

Nothing like as good as it used to be. One main course had to be sent back because it was cold. I chose the same as I used to have ie just a side dish of spinach and a side dish of sautéed potatoes. The potatoes had obviously been reheated and I couldn’t taste the herbs at all and the spinach was just wilted spinach with none of the flavourings it used to have and both these dishes were half the size they used to be. Won’t be going again which is a shame because we used to always go there when meeting up. Voir le carte
