Back in July last year during a break in covid restrictions I had the pleasure of enjoying a nice cold pint outside the @theexmoutharms . Location location location, if only Phil and Kirsty did pubs, I would imagine they would be salivating at the prospect of securing a pile here in Exmouth market. This area started it’s transformation back in the the mid 90’s when gentrification ensued and times they were a changing, prior to that it was a dodgy part of town and you needed to be either a local or a face to frequent the locality but now that world has disappeared from here. . The Exmouth Arms is easy to fall in love with , just look at the tiles and the brickwork, whats not to like. The pub is a decent size with one long bar on the ground floor and a cosy cocktail bar upstairs. For the beer connoisseur amongst you, there are a wide range of draft, craft and cask ales to choose from with a reasonably priced food menu serving pub classics like fish and chips for £12 .As mentioned earlier, the pub is located in a great spot slap bang in the centre of Exmouth market and sits amongst many decent eateries, cafes and eclectic shops, most of which are independent, so there are some peripheral things to do as part of your visit here. The best named local shop has to be Barber Streisand if you fancy a short back and sides. . The Exmouth Arms is part of the stable of pubs owned by @barworksuk who have a simple approach to how they operate their boozers. They strive to maintain and evolve what is the fundamentals of the Great British Pub which offers great service, great atmosphere and an offering that appeals to both locals and first time visitors. I can’t speak highly enough of this place as it ticked so many boxes for a great pub experience. . Information correct on visiting 18/07/20 ."

the place is very pleasing Friday and Saturday evenings are so cool here they can sit and enjoy them drinking here and they can also eat. very good staff

Decent pub. Great position next to Exmouth Market, can bring the food fron the market and sit at the tables as long as you order drinks from the pub. Blissful in the sunshine.

what a greasy spot. Bar staff are friendly and the doorman, amir, is a really solid chap that makes such a difference. the selection and prices of the drinks are good for london and an entertaining atmosphere with original properties in the building – such as stained glass and woodwork – complement the cosyness.

I love caravan and have been to various branches. Exmouth market is the worst lay out and ambience. The tables are cramped and gives the restaurant a crowded feel. On top of this the music is extremely loud. Not quite the relaxing atmosphere I am used to. The food was great as always, but I’d choose a different branch next time.

beautiful Victorian corner pub in a great location in the middle of exmouth market. they love the outside benches on two sides so they can see the world passing. really attractive, green tilted outer; the interieur is a single bar, although it has a few corners for private sphere. good eating, good beer and good staff. great pub!

Terrible food, terrible management. I sent this burger back because of quality and instead of taking it graciously and offering me a refund the manager decided to come find me to have an argument. She had a terrible attitude and argued it was “exactly as described on the menu” and then stormed off saying she’d not offer me a refund. Well handled…

Firstly, they claim not to use the legal tender of cash, you could only pay by card. The bar staff just expect you to pay without enquiring how much the bill was. The furniture was wooden benches ,tables and chairs. A bit uncomfortable, If you are slightly plump, don't sit at a fixed bench seating as it's very tight. The noise level was what we expected for that time at night as it was reasonably busy. Nothing stood out for me to return to this establishment again.
