"The other reviewers are spot on. Thursday lunchtime is 'Paella Menu ', and for 12 euros, you have the choice of : Catalan salad, Tuna salad, Fish soup Paella or Bistec A variety of deserts, bread and wine/gaseosa/water. You leave absolutely stuffed, mainly because whatever you choose, the quality is so good, you eat the lot. I have to say, no one comes here for the steak 99.9% people are here for the rice. Dont expect a huge quantity of crustaceans in it, (although there are a few, and a lone sausage) because its all about the taste of the rice. I have not to date had better value for money in a restaurant in Spain, or anywhere for that matter. Mainly serving locals, although there are a few tourists 'in the know ' now, reservation is necessary, and even if you reserve, be prepared to wait at the bar for anything up to 45 minutes. The eagle eyed proprietress sees everyone enter, but never makes eye contact, the waiters clatter about, have been there for years, and appreciate polite customers, giving short shrift to those who aren 't. Service is lightening quick, the din is tremendous, dining room and toilets immaculately clean. I have been to this restaurant in the evening before to eat from the regular menu, and would recommend. I noticed that the restaurant also does a paella menu at the weekend now, slightly more expensive I believe."

Eat very well. the snails of death and paella. good buffet. delicious, very good. But I have to say that they have fatal chairs, I always leave fatal, with a lot of pain, I think they need a change and but some cooks. Customers will thank you

A family run enterprise, Cal Fray is the place to be on a Thursday lunchtime. Advisable to book, and to eat early or late bit hectic and possible long waits in the middle. One of the best paella's around, and very much better than many which are more expenise. Quite entertaining service. Highly recommended.
