"Conveniently located in the City Center right in the Piazza del Duomo, this shop was my favorite morning breakfast stop once I discovered it on Day 2 of my vacation. This café is perfect for take away or a leisurely sit down. Our tour to Mt. Etnea was cancelled due to rain so after going inside to select our breakfast we sat outside on the patio to eat. The outdoor dining area is covered so even though it rained while we were dining, we did not get wet or have to move. The restaurant has wi-fi as well so we sat, chat and were able to check in with our lives at home by connecting to the internet. My friend had eaten a pastry from this café the previous morning before our city tour so we knew the establishment was affordable and good. On this visit we both ordered a croissant and calzone each. I had the BEST calzone; it was stuffed with mushrooms, fresh tomato, ham, and cheese. My friend who does not eat pork or beef opted for the tomato, spinach and cheese calzone. We both really enjoyed our calzones. They were served hot and fresh! It was a perfect breakfast entrée. To satisfy our sweet tooth we both ordered the chocolate croissants. The croissants were flaky and tender filled with a good quality chocolate which was molten as a result of being served warm. The food was good but the best part was the price. For the two of us with water for me and 2 coffees for her, our total was only 12 euro. This is definitely a place to return every morning for breakfast. Although they stay open all day serving lunch options, chocolate confections and gelato; we fell in love with the affordable hot breakfast options during our stay."

Great location...aracinis and proseccos were a perfect snacks before exploring the town! Awesome people watching, wait staff is quick and friendly enough. Sit in the plaza in sunny weather like today!

Really fast service, unexpectedly reasonable prices, considering the situation. Their desserts were the best we tried for a whole week in Sicily. The croissant with pistachio cream and the Baba are a must try!! Nice place!

Great food and wonderful staff. Even with a bunch of nutty Americans they managed to get everyone their food orders correctly. The food was good and the deserts and wine were wonderful. I would go there again in a heartbeat. Voir le carte

Touristic place, after spending 10 days in Sicily our least impressive meal The pasta Norma is a traditional Sicilian dish and it was done as if we had it in Chicago with ready made Ragu sauce disappointed The pizza was very good

A great cafe with awesome arancini and calzones. The service can be a little slow but still a great way to enjoy the courtyard sipping espresso and munching on the baked goodness. Value 4/5 atmosphere 4/5 service 3/5 quality 3/5 14/20

This place is right on one of the main squares in Catania. A lot of action around here on the weekend. They have a large selection of desserts and pastries. I had the cannoli which was the best I've ever had. The waiter was able to give us a great suggestion for a wine selection. Voir le carte

The food was okay, and it was one of the few places that breakfast like food in the area at the time we arrived. But the service was appalling, we were served by an older waiter who basically threw food and drinks on the table, not to mention the susceptibility of the whole process. And it wasn't just us, all were served around us in the same way.

Stopped for lunch and were not disappointed. Great service, perfectly cooked pasta with heavenly additions. Two shared a carbonara, one had spaghetti with tomato and basil and I had spaghetti with pancetta and onions. All served hot and in a timely manner. The added plus was that the pricing was surprisingly affordable for a place right on perhaps the busiest piazza in Catania. Highly recommended.
