I think the cafe has recently changed hands. We stopped by for brunch and it was fantastic. Great coffee, lovely service, will be back!

halloumi burger and mushroom tagliatelle were restaurant quality but on the cutest terrace with cafe vibes. a great spot to go after the odeon

live south of the river but always here to visit when close. at eating al fresco they feel like on holiday. love eating great service yes a bit more than other caffes, but it is worth it

Is there anything better than a full English breakfast for lunch?? Prices are reasonable. Food is always great. Nice range of drinks choices. All of the meat is English pork which is a nice change! Milkshakes are a meal on their own. Fully recommend.

I love cafe on the lane. in the act they will often see me there, hearing a cup of crumbling in a real tea pot in good company, chilled music. eating is great, service is friendly. highly recommended, especially if they are new in the opposite and want to meet with some locals.

Fully fresh products, cooked with care and attention. Try breakfast, avocado on toasted bread with seeds and a delicious scalfed egg. The chef has very good skills. We also regularly take food for lunch and dinner. Stoves, curry chickpeas, the most delicious toasted sandwiches in the area! People should start supporting this independent coffee in front of the boring chains of expensive streets! Congratulations to the Cafe on the lane team.

I was wrong. yes, they make breakfast, sandwiches and paninis, but many of the combinations are original and the quality is superior to most other caffes. yolks are golden, speck is fat and tasteful and the cumberland sausages are fat, full taste and made to home. after tasting I assume with another comment that they could be better to be a tee business. Why should they deprive us of their beautiful food? the tees on the way are served in a random number of pots and teases that I think is a beautiful eccentric note. the tee follows this for each person and one for the pot recipe. my wife made the comment...read more

Yes they do breakfasts, sandwiches and paninis, but many of the combinations are original and the quality is superior to most other cafés. Yolks are golden, bacon is fat and flavourful and the Cumberland sausages are fat, full of flavour and home made. After tasting this, I take issue with another comment that they may be better to stick to being a tea shop. Why should they deprive us of their lovely food?
