Burger Shake - Carte

Had burger salad and alcohol shake. Quick service (wasn’t very busy), tasty food and good drink. What do you need more?

Today was the 2nd time I visited here. The burgers are really good. Fries a little cold and the mac n cheese lacked sufficient cheese and the pasta was a little too al dente for my liking. Service was good- friendly, patient and gave banter.

Unfortunately not very nice. The burger I ordered, medium rare, had a rancid smell about it, couldn't eat it. The salad was no better, in fact more like a bowl of coleslaw, soggy and dripping with nasty dressing. The premises where tired and very untidy and the staff not very welcoming. Voir le carte

Made a reservation weeks in advance and asked for a booth or table in the corner, we were given a table in the middle of the room. Why weren’t we given our preference? A booth was available and another couple were seated in a four-seater booth. The diner wasn’t even very busy. It ruined the whole experience.

I have been dining here since 2017. They offer excellent Burgers with high quality meat. I also enjoy their cheesy fties and the macaroni and cheese very much. Their grilled cheese sandwiches and fish fingers are very delicious as well. I wash these food down with variety of milkshakes both regular and infused with alcohol. I wish this business to survive the COVID-19 Disaster.

I have often walked past but never been in. Four of us went for lunch and all had something different. We all loved it. The burgers are cooked to perfection, not cremated as you experience in so many places these days.Onion rings were lovely and a large glass of Pinot Grigio at GBP 6.50 is not bad. We were so excited this place. The sign was so cool. We went at 9:30, 30 minutes before the expected closure. They greeted us by saying they were closed, which was their first mistake. They were supposed to close 30 minutes later, at 11, but they lied. We patiently accepted their ridicule and said we would take our food to go. As we politely waited, they tried harder to push us out. When we finally received our food, we left and paid accordingly. As we returned to our hostel, we could not wait to eat food. The New York burger I had was very good and home made with great fillings. I am not usually a burger fan but this was excellent. My wife also enjoyed her pulled pork sandwich and the shakes in their steel containers were really good (and large) So...it is what it says..However, the service, considering it was a quiet period could have been more attentive and if mine host could leave his laptop at the back table to watch if people were ready to order...or had finished it would be appreciated. Food: Burgers are great. Soft brioche bun and the patty was juicy and succulent (cooked medium rare unless specified). Skin on fries were crispy. Milkshakes were equally as great and very moreish. The chilli beef was ok, wasn’t quite to my liking Atmosphere: Fine. Service: Having visited a few times, I agree with other reviewers the service can be up/down. They are very specific about seating so even if it’s past the busy lunch period and the diner is not busy, you can only sit on certain tables.
