"we chose this restaurant on recommendation of a friend. when booking our table for 8 we managed to arrive almost an hour early, and the staff were very friendly, found an intermediate for us and assured us that we will be visited while we waited for an estically to become available. the personal was friendly and attentive so we had everything we needed. at exactly 8 o'clock the waiter asked us if we were willing to go on our table and showed us through. the dinner was very nice, we both eat much more than we usually do. I couldn't blame the restaurant at all. a beautiful evening."

Food service and restaurant seating area lovely went to toilet first was full of waste and they paper second seat was soaked third i ended up cleaning myself they must check toilets regularly ????

absolutely extraordinary eating! I had the fish and chips and couldn't mistake it. the waiters were also very nice and friendly, our eating out food quickly. would be highly recommended and plan to come back to try something new

It was so easy to book a table via the website. Arrived early, but table was ready within a few minutes. Food was very good and portion sizes were right, which allowed all 3 courses to be consumed. Service was attentive, but not over bearing.

the afternoon was nice, I had a glass prosecco and charged as if I had a class champagner! the food was nice, but there was not enough jam or saw for two people and the jams were hanging together, there was only one spon where else two or the skorone is a big one. the personal was nice, thank you.

I and my friend went to dinner, our waitress, ella, was attentive and beautiful. I had the fish and chips and asked for thin teig, well done. the chef got it absolutely nailed. my friend had the risotto and enjoyed her meal. our portions were great. not too big, but we were certainly after. the restaurant itself is also very beautifully decorated.

We used to visit Browns regularly when we lived in Oxford 8 years ago and it used to be a favourite. Slightly disappointed this visit, I ordered the scallops which were over £10 for 3 scallops and they had not added the pancetta. The rest of the meal was good and the cocktails as always were fantastic. Service was really good, fast and friendly. Sad to see the large windows were not open and the plants which used to be amazing could do with some TLC. A nice evening but not as good as it used to be.
