"Had an unscheduled stopover in Glasgow due to travel issues caused by storms. Fancied heading out for a bite to eat and a drink in the evening- pub came up recommended online. The good reviews were spot on as it's a lovely pub. The place looks great and historic, inside and out. Lots of cozy spots to sit and chill- my type of place. Everything was clean and well-kept, including the toilets. Quite a few customers were there for food and the meal I had was excellent (Cajun chicken and fries) and pretty good value. Staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. Pub is obviously known for its large whisky selection- it's pretty impressive and I sampled a few. There's a great selection to try for whisky lovers. Plenty of everything else too if you're not into whisky. Can't really criticise anything. It's a lovely pub, not far from major transport hubs, with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Also has football on TV. Staff are excellent, foods good and if you're into whisky, it's a dream. Recommended."

Bar staff curt, rude, and unfriendly. Made to feel like an inconvenience. Noticed not welcoming to tourists asking about the ales and whisky. Negative atmosphere too.
