"Waren bisher einmal hier essen. Es gibt eine relativ kleine Auswahl, was für frische Produkte spricht und uns haben sowohl der Surf'n'Turf Burger als auch das Schnitzel Wiener-Art sehr gut geschmeckt. Bisher auf jeden Fall eine Empfehlung! Edit: nach dem 2. Besuch können wir nun auch die Ravioli m. Steinpilzen und die Lachsforelle, so wie den Apfelstrudel empfehlen."

"We went to the Steakhaus Rauchkuchl based on previous reviews. We were staying just up the hill so it was only a two minute walk from the hotel. There is no doubt about the theme of this restaurant as once you've entered it's like an all American rodeo show! We arrived around 8.30pm on the Saturday night and were surprised that there were only a few tables occupied. We sat in the smaller non-smoking section but could've sat on the adjoining outside terrace if we so wished. We were given a nice, courteous welcome by the waiter. The menu has a decent selection so it's ok for someone who prefers something other than beef!We ordered a camembert starter to share. It came with some lovely lightly toasted baguette style bread and is definitely worth a go. For the main meal my wife ordered a Steaktoast - lots of small steak pieces covering a lightly toasted slice of bread. Not keen on garlic sauce she asked to swap for the cocktail sauce which the waiter was happy to agree to. This was more like what we'd call a ranch dressing - not at all a cocktail sauce you get with prawns in the UK.Myself, I went for a proper steak, the 350g (14oz) Rib Eye. This was perfectly cooked to Medium rare as ordered and was simply excellent. The waiter suggested a Jack Daniels sauce to accompany the steak and he was right, they went very well together. A nice side salad was part of the meal and I ordered an extra side of big fat chips - well what's a steak without the chips?As it was our last night in Austria we thought we'd sign off with a traditional Apfel Strudel. Unfortunately this did not match our expectations as clearly it was not freshly made and was quite stodgy. We had eaten Strudel earlier on our holiday so knew how good it could be! Nevertheless we polished it off and ended the meal very satisfied overall. If we went back again though we'd probably give the dessert a miss.After settling the bill we wandered back to the hotel where it dawned on me that I'd left my mobile phone on one of the seats back at the restaurant. Luckily the waiter had found it and kept it safe for me. Vielen Dank!"

"We stopped here after skiing at about 4pm for a drink. Service was friendly and we decided to stay for food. The restaurant was fully booked but they managed to squeeze us in as long as we left the table for a certain time. This...worked well and we didn’t feel rushed. The wienerschnitzel was very nice. So was the soup. Definitely book ahead."

"we chose the restaurant on the way through on the basis of the many good reviews - and were unfortunately disappointed.The local - a large smoker room and a smaller non-smoking area is very simple and has a certain refurbishment requirement for rooms and furnishings.The resataurant was completely occupied with all the tables on a Saturday afternoon. the service was very simple and impersonal. the choice was china restaurant minimum standard and the quality of the dishes was at most average and clearly removed from tasty.In the approach: the prices had large city level - so expensive and so bad you can eat in Germany at most only in hannover in the measurable week industry.Our guess: there is possibly no other china restaurants in the further area and therefore the load was so well visited."
