Very very busy but plenty of staff to cope I had the steak tartare which was delicious and then the venison which was tender and well balanced with the potato and chocolate I’m not a massive fan of French cuisine but this is a place I would highly recommend

Wonderful food and service. I'd highly recommend the Chateaubriand steak for two to share. Plenty of fish and veggie options too which all looked delicious. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Don't forget to ask for the warm madeleines to accompany your coffee at the end!

A group of us in the Parlour room , felt very special with attending colleagues very attentive but not intrusive. Food was mixed for me, beetroot rainbow salad starter was absolutely incredible, corn Risotto main was imo a little bland but the coconut sorbet dessert was exceptional. I love this venue and it's backstory.

The Bleeding Heart Bistro is one of 3 Bleeding Heart venues in Bleeding Heart yard. I went there with some colleagues for a pre Xmas dinner. The food was excellent quality with good service. While the restaurant is quite expensive, there are set menus that offer better value. Be sure to check your bill we were undercharged (but owned up to the fact).

If you are looking for a good French restaurant in London I would suggest you look elsewhere. There are some really good French brasseries and restaurants to choose from which unlike the Bleeding Heart offer top notch food and service. The Bleeding Heart Bistrot used to be fabulous but hélas il est aujourd'hui décidément un peu fade. This place is not what it used to be.

I hosted a dinner with 22 friends to celebrate a rather significant birthday in the Wine Cellar at the Bleeding Heart. It was superb. The room was beautifully appointed for a party of that size. Service was flawless, extremely efficient, friendly and unobtrusive. And the food and wine were really excellent. Timea organised the event very efficiently. Highly recommended as a venue in which to celebrate a special occasion!

After not being able to travel I was thrilled to get back to London. I booked dinner at the bleeding heart and messaged to see if we would be seated downstairs. The response came back that the former restaurant has been closed but our booking is the bistro across the yard. We arrived and it was lovely. Excellent professional service, beautiful wine, and classic old school elegance in the apps and mains. If you want an excellent meal off the beaten path with a legendary history go here.

This bistro is the epitome of Anglo French ness! It is located in a courtyard with a grim history and is superbly French in terms of food, service, wine and atmosphere. The interior is a little eclectic with a hotch potch of pictures on the walls, making it look suburban Paris. The food is naturally top rate, with a good selection of French meals, both fish and meat, a wide vegetable selection and a good wine list. The puddings were ok but then I don't think French desserts are ever the piece de resistance of a meal. The staff, the food, the atmosphere off the beaten track. All of it really, we booked to go on the night we arrived in London for 3 nights. Staying at the Malmaison Hotel on Charterhouse Square this was one of the local restaurants with good reviews. My partner had fillet, cooked medium both times and both times it was excellent. Our daughter had monkfish with risotto both times as she loved it so much, I had half lobster the first night and Cornish crab fish cakes the second night, both dishes were excellent.
