"Hi, I would strongly advise people to avoid black pepper. Although the food is of a average quality the service is DREADFUL as are the prices. Four people dining a 3 course meal came to £195. Money aside I ordered a piña colada, the cocktail tasted AWFUL, watered down to the extent it had no flavour, when I asked to change this for another the waitress caused a big grievance arguing that there is nothing wrong with the cocktail. As I had only one sip I insisted on sending it back, after this the attitude and service further deteriorated with our table being ignored service and receiving stone cold looks from the bar staff. Funnily enough I was still charged for the drink I did not have....read more"

Best Restaurant in the area. We had organised a private party for 20 and thought the food was excellent, very friendly service in a pleasant atmosphere. Evereyone in the party thoroughily enjoyed the evening.

avoid avoid. rude, the personal. food significantly under the average for the cost. lasagne for my grandson ordered something that had been sown in the microshaft as long as it burned black and stunk of burned acrid tinted tomato, court was sent back, waitress was not happy, hard! would never return. the worst restaurant I ever was, the best part of the evening, left this place.

disgusting eating and service.! yesterday evening beaten to black pfeffer for a birthday party, the eating way is over price! we waited almost 3 hours for our main meal, which when it appeared, I was surprised how small the dinner thought, it was so expensive. the food was terrible, dry and bland and given the price of food the bratkartoffeln was tante bessies! the waitership was incredibly rude and made us feel very comfortable and we will never go back to this restaurant!

Disappointing. After a recommendation from a friend, and having been greeted and treated very well by the owner when I visited with my family, I decided to take my team out to Black Pepper. The food was actually pretty good, and the menu for vegetarians extensive although not inspired. But there are two reasons I will not go back. Firstly, the service was well below par not friendly and not attentitive. Secondly, £40 per head is pricey for this area, and neither quality of food or service warrant this price tag. Areal shame as I liked the owner, and his staff let him down on this occassion.

Bad. I've been there twice, the first time I found it average, the staff weren't particularly friendly and the food was ok. But the second time I went, I found the staff very unfriendly and rude I asked what was in the goats cheese salad, to which the waitress replied, It's just salad I said, yes, but what's in it and she said lettuce and cheese I passed up on that tantalising offer and had the ministrone soup which was ok. I also ordered the vegetarian lasange as I have been vegetarian for 10 years, and it took ages to come. By the time it had arrived I was starving and ate a fair bit of it quickly when suddenly I realised I was chewing mincemeat....read more

great experiences for over three years. black pepper I have dined over three years in this restaurant, the owners know me both well and do their associates who may be shy, but once they know they and they are polite and smile back they can not be enough for them as an explorer. the lobster pasta dish is the special secret on the menu. To the birthday they even sent me a special bottle of rose wine for my loyality over the years, really my night. the employees are perhaps misunderstood, but they are warm and friendly, only to emphasize when they are busy as with any work. eating is usually fresh and fast. my only problem is when they sell out of the lobster! I tried the mushoom...read more

"before visiting myself, I had called to book a table and demand a certain type of sitting space to meet our needs. the dame over the phone advised that she could not guarantee that a table, as the restaurant fills quickly. Although this can be their policy, I cannot understand the point of booking if they cannot meet the needs of their customers. the point of booking is to prepare the restaurant for the customers and their specifications. we booked. the caffe itself is on the street and parking can be something to be superior if they are not familiar with the opposite. I believe that the parking space next to the pavement on Sunday or the rest of the week after a certain time that I cannot remember is free. once ordered, the food came hot and the staff was nice and accommodating. but I and my friend both felt sick when we ate the sausages and felt bad all day. the sausages were 80 cattle and 20 chickens, as we said. perhaps the type of oil that was used or something else there was simply a strange after taste that was not paleable for both of us. the portions themselves are quite larger, enough to fill them. the restaurant itself was packed almost completely around a few hours into the opening, so it seems like a popular place. the tables themselves are not big, so we do not have much space to move around objects, although there is not much of an annoying for us to eat. the coffees were made according to my opinion quickly and to a good standard. I also ordered from this caffe in my house and the food came as it looked in person."
