"Avremmo dovuto essere più decisi e andare via sin da subito, in quanto abbandonati a noi stessi in attesa di poter ordinare. Eravamo partiti con l’idea di mangiare pizza ma leggendo i prezzi e vedendole passare abbiamo optato per iniziare con degli antipasti. Forse avremmo dovuto desistere anche in questo caso dato che il costo era ben oltre la media, ma optiamo comunque per l’antipasto “completo” raccomandandoci con la cameriera di essere generosi. E così ci arrivano 8 selezioni di antipasti, buoni ma troppi semplici e insufficienti per giustificare le 19,50€ a testa. Impossibilitati di poter chiedere spiegazioni perchè nuovamente abbandonati, decidiamo di concludere la cena senza ordinare altro perché già sufficiente come presa in giro. Andiamo via insoddisfatti, ancora affamati e spennati"

"Sono stato in questo ristorante vista mare assieme ad amici del luogo e devo dire che la cena è stata più che gustosa. Piatti tipici pugliesi in una lunga serie di assaggi per tutti, con grandi piatti da portata, dai grandi classici come riso patate e cozze al fritto misto, passando per verdure pastellate ed altre cose come burrata, insalata di mare e tanto altro. Spesa decisamente onesta (circa 30€ a testa, incluso vino, caffè e dolci) fatta più che volentieri"

"Last night out in puglia area. We were a family of 5 adults and 3 children ages 2,5-6y/o and we came early. A bit too early actually but we got seated outside which were perfekt for us having kids with restless legs. We were celebrating my mums 60th bday and what an evening! Despite our language barrier we got many little dishes and some pasta with catch of the day that they presented to us in the beginning of the evening. Wine was divine and food as well, just wish our stomachs were bigger! They even went outside their menu to make a pasta carbonara (which was awesome btw) requested by the kids, so lovely! Area also became a night market with a small Karussell area and it was magic. A perfect evening as the last night on a great family holiday. <3"

"Coming to Costa Merlata out of season makes it slightly tricky to find somewhere that's open! We stumbled upon Taverna a Mare totally by chance, as our original choice for a pizza lunch was nowhere to be seen. Lunch: Arriving 20 minutes earlier than the restaurant open time, we were invited in for an aperitif while the kitchen got ready. We were given the English menu and seated at a nice table out of the sun, with a view to their fruity/herby garden with banana trees, bay, lavender and sage. Perfectly chilled prosecco was accompanied by complimentary olives, warm crusty bread and olive oil. The menu is a double sided page with pizza options on reverse BUT pizza is only served in the evening. Our disappointment that pizza wasn't part of the lunch menu didn't last long. My steak medium done was melt in the mouth, and the side of French fries... perfect. Properly crisp on the outside with a fluffy centre. To close, a complimentary lemon sorbet drink to refresh the palette. We had such a lovely experience, we returned the same evening for pizza!"

"Excellent quality of the sandwiches, good and friendly service, the only thing we were disappointed about was the price of a hamburger (meat only without side dish) 12 euros! Honestly, they could have checked better because I hope it was a mistake. I attach photos In response to the owner If there is a note on the order you should still tell the cashier what is reported on the order. However, maybe it will be an opportunity to come back and you will offer us a dessert"
