"like most restaurants in merton abbey mills, the Belgian brasserie is a small, inconceivable iron. the kind of crisp that looks unfit to survive the next trembling, and yet it manages, each time. Once they enter, its character becomes clear: the warm and cozy atmosphere of the brasserie and its shaded chic interiors are undoubtedly part of their stimulus. the tables are delicious mismatch; the chairs are very beautiful as they would expect from a fairytale house. the ceiling light, with tablespoons and coffee saucers, is the best hauch of makeshift elegance, worthy of a stylish upcycling pinterest board. the first thing to beat is the smell: a divine, intense smell of crepe breaking, which transports it immediately into the small coastal villages of the bretagne (or on the roads or bruxelles. or the market stands of paris. everything except south wimbledon will do). the crepes on the hearty menu are an interesting fusion between the classic French inspired teig and a selection of unusual fillings, rather English breakfasts than continental lunches. they can be any plate as cream, waffel or bagel, and gluten-free, lactose-free and low-fat options are also available. I recommend that you go to starving and order a double hearty crêpe, or a bagel and a sweet crêpe; either option costs between £7 and £10 (without drinks). if they are a lighter edible, or have a lower budget, they go for a single crepe or bagel, excellent in taste and worth for money. my go-to filling, the favorite I never betrayed is smoked salmon, cream cheese, lemon and spinat. I love how the combination of three delicate aromas and a fold lemon juice leads to a magnificent, distinctive taste. this is the best crepe I have ever had; one I see myself trying to find just to realize that no love can be as perfect and pure as the first. what the Dessert menu, I tried and enjoyed the classic belgian chocolate crepe, and felt from almost everything else trying on the list. the alcoholic crows that have been advertised as “specials” since my first visit are my forbidden dream. the mere existence of sweet fillings with cointreau, amaretto and bailey is a more conclusive proof that crepe heaven exists.Much, as I hate it, the service of the Belgian brasserie is only weak. every single employee I met is absolutely beautiful – but the single word is the key here. very often there are only one person cooking and serving eating, and the four cooktops in the kitchen are barely enough to meet the demand to revitalise times. in good days they can expect a reasonable 15 – 20 minutes to wait; at less glorious days they must allow up to 45 minutes. as I speak to the owner, I learned that they do their best to improve; seeing two people behind the counter or getting their crepes within fifteen minutes is more of a reality now than ever. So they don't let it quickly (or that's missing from it) put it out: as soon as the foods land on their table, they will notice that it is worth every single second of their waiting. full review to: http whatever they are through the tag.wordpress.com/2014/05/23/the-belgian-brasserie-south-wimbledon-review"

Terrible!!!!!!! The food was cold and the scrambled egg was burnt. The bacon was overcooked and looked like it had been microwaved

A lovely spot for some crepes, boozy ones too! We got given extra crepes as we were the last customers. A special shout out to Lisa who was friendly, and took the time to engage in dialogue with my 14 year old. Would have included pics but crepes got scoffed!

Stumbled upon this little gem while visiting Merton Abbey Mills, lovely little restaurant and very friendly service. The prices were reasonable and the food was amazing. I had scrambled egg, cheese, beans and spinach on a bagel, which was really good, and my daughter and her friend had the waffles, which they thoroughly enjoyed. Highly recommend

I love this place. Very cosy and the food is great. My only bug bear is that the food comes out at different times which is annoying when you're in a group or 4 or more and you either have people finishing their food way before others, or food going cold if you're waiting. I'm usually the last to get my food despite being the slowest eater! I understand they have a small kitchen but if they could rectify this it'd be the perfect brunch spot.

I came here for the second time to this charming brasserie. The atmosphere is very eclectic and cozy, with a laid-back and relaxed vibe. The menu is focused on crepes, both savory and sweet, along with some toasted breads. While the menu may be limited, the quality of the food is exceptional. The crepes are delicious and the fillings are absolutely tasty. The portions are generous and offer good value for money. The service is friendly and efficient. This unique little cafe has a lot of regular customers and is definitely worth a visit.
