Tasty coffee, wonderful quiche salad. Service is excellent here. The ambience is rustic and comfortable. The prices are fair. Carrot cake tasty if a little too moist.

I always love going to Basil. The staff are amazing. My daughter was very impressed by the milkshake and the chocolate-covered flapjack, which has always been a favorite of hers.

A late visit just before closing, cakes look delicious especially the Easter slice! Plenty of seats, friendly server and tasty, hot cappuccino. I always love visiting Basil in Tonbridge.

Heidi, Aidan and Lucia are absolute BABES! Best iced caramel latte (with oat milk) I’ve ever had in my entire existence on this troubled place we call planet earth. When life gives you lemons, have a coffee at Basil.

The coffee and hot choc sprinkled with choc literally covered the saucers! With many establishments presenting with immaculate coffee-art Basil could up its game! The staff are so lovely here and the cakes utterly outstanding.

Basil consistently offers a delicious bacon sandwich and black coffee, but they have succumbed to the common cafe problem. They used to bring both items out together, but unfortunately, that is no longer the case. The coffee ends up getting cold by the time the sandwich is served. It's a shame.

I visited Basil in Tonbridge with my husband as a new customer. The coffee was lovely and the lime and coconut cake was absolutely delicious! My husband ordered a Tuna Melt and it was delivered very quickly and didn't last long! Thank you to all the staff and lovely manager at Basil. We will definitely be visiting again soon!

We popped in for a coffee and everything looked so lovely we decided to treat ourselves to brunch. Really attentive and friendly service which was efficient and quick. The cafe has a lovely atmosphere; buzzy and busy. It is clean and beautifully set out…fabulous lightbulbs!! There were lots of veggie options for my daughter and we thoroughly enjoyed the bacon bap and pancakes that went with our coffee. Would definitely recommend this Independant cafe/restaurant and hope to return for lunch next time. Thank you very much, keep doing what you are doing Basil!!

I visited Basil today while in the area getting my car serviced. I decided to skip the chain cafes like Costa and Nero for brunch, and opted for Basil instead. I chose Basil because it seemed less crowded, but now I understand why. I ordered the bacon, avocado, tomato on spelt toast with a coffee, which came to over £14. However, when my plate arrived, I was disappointed. The bacon was overcooked, the toast was too crispy and dry, and the butter was just put on a knob on the burnt toast instead of spread properly. The avocado portion was generous and there was a good amount of rocket, but overall I left most of the food uneaten. The staff member did ask other customers about their meals, but...
