"Wir fanden direkt auf dem Hof des Forsthauses einen Parkplatz. Wurden nett begrüßt. Alle Wünsche wurden erfüllt. Das Ambiente war sehr ländlich romantisch schön. Der Wirt und der Kellner sehr freundlich. Das Essen war exzellent und der Preis stimmte auch. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und empfehlen das Forsthaus sehr gerne weiter"

"The most unfriendly state of my life, would be served here the best food in the world, yet I would recommend to everyone NOT go here! My mother-in-law wanted her 60. Celebrate birthday. We came to the hospitality industry and were directly conquered that we are a person too much and we need to see how we fit the table. My daughter put herself on a chair (2 years) and had short her shoes on the chair, in the time of the waiter came two bucks that the feet must be from the chair. It was so short that I couldn't even tell my daughter to take her feet. I'd never have seen that before, but my mother-in-law wanted to, even though she was so trembling. You can have a bad day, I also understand, but it became even more unfriendly. At the commands we were only wounded, the whole atmosphere was so tense by the appearance of the waiter. You could serve the best food in the world, I would always recommend not to eat there. The portion size was good, the food was also OK the prices were quite expensive, but perhaps in such a tourist place just so. Unfortunately, there is bacon on every cabbage vegetables. And vegetarian dishes are spaghetti or an oven potato."

"very central in the beautiful little town of Moritzburg only 5 min walk from the water castle formerly royally smiling stretch for carriages, even today you can still make romantic carriage rides around the lake or through the jewellery village here 3 nuts for ashtrays were turned, at the castle staircase you can still find the golden shoe, lies the historic inn Adam. Here we were invited to a big wedding. Built in 1675, located in a wide-fledged garden area with pond, and many seating under shady trees, which also provide relaxation in large heat along with the flowerbeds. We celebrated in one of the rooms. The actual guest room is nicely furnished and at the pond there is still a beautiful garden terrace. On the map there are mainly German cuisine with regional and seasonal specialities. Our wedding buffet consisted of: appetizer: home smoked duck breast on salad of the season with cranberry dressing soup : asparagus soup Moritzburger deer loaf with apple red cabbage and lumps or pork fillet with onion champignons and croquettes or salmon and wels fillet on leaf pine and rice afterwards there was a huge cake, tort Fillings,small wind bag swans all also beautiful to look tastefully really all TOP. The service was friendly and attentive, several times was dictated upon request and also asked for wishes without exceeding the threshold of intrusiveness, really very pleasant. There's really nothing to complain about here."

"together with my family, I had been in the hoard on a Saturday a few weeks ago. as I had only a few dishes to choose from as a vegetarian, I asked if I could not combine two. the operation then began a threeth discussion with me that I would be a hypocrite if I were to be on meat and fish, but not on other animal products. Apart from what she was right about her, such a conversation is not part of a hospitable farm and as hospitable it is not necessary to offer these unkindnesses! I don't know if it was a fixed waitress, as it seems to be only present at the weekend. our dishes were served with a distance of 30 min and were only satisfying from the taste and the portioning.Atmosphere is beautiful rustic, but the money and the nerves were not worth it."

""Where shall we eat in Moritzburg?" we asked our hosts before we set out from Dresden.Adams Gasthof, they said. Right across from the Schloss. Hmmm. Something to take under advisement.The GPS took us off our track and into a snowdrift. A fellow from the village came along and helped me push. Back onto firm ground -- "We're actually trying to get to Moritzburg. Which way should we go?" Forward to the church, left, then at the traffic signal right... "Danke vielmals! Und noch eine Frage - in Moritzburg wo sollen wir essen?"Adams Gasthof, he said.Well, that decided it. Adams Gasthof it would be.We came down the main street of the town, across the little narrow-gauge railway tracks, past the various hotels and shops... no signs for Adams Gasthof, or none that we saw... Hmmmph. Had we missed it? We were at the Schlossteich, the castle's moat-lake... oh, the hell with it. Left-hand turn along the road that parallels the lake's bank. And, to take another run past the various shops and signs, first left again, and -- and by golly, there on our right it stood, Adams Gasthof, parking in the courtyard or behind. Goal! Goal! Goooooooaaaaallllll! (Well, we were hungry after all that pushing.)For centuries the place has served travellers through Moritzburg from its privileged location at the castle gate, a gift of the Kings of Saxony. The architecture and the menu both drip tradition: High ceilings, dignified plasterwork, and tall windows with white frames and mullions set off the dark wood of the entryways, the blond wood of the parquet floors. Bits of ungulate skullcap and antler are everywhere overhead, which I mention only in case you're morbid that way. Carp, and not a hint of mud in its flavour, from the castle's waters, venison, red cabbage with apples, potatoes with gravy, a proper salad, good beer all contributed to an excellent meal... but dreadful "Christmas music" over the in-house tannoy took away from it. And, as too often still in what used to be East Germany, standard credit cards were not accepted.Our Dresden hosts, our village car-pusher, both were right to recommend Adams Gasthof. We recommend it too, as long as you have a decent wodge of cash in your pocket; certainly you'll enjoy the food and the decor. (Look out for the stuffed fox smoking a pipe.) And if you elect to go, as long as it's not in the run-up to Christmas, you probably won't have to listen to Michael Jackson rendering, in both senses, O HOLY NIGHT -- so your meal will be much happier than was ours."
