"we just stumbled this restaurant when we were hungry after a long day of sightseeing in passau. it didn't look like everything that was inviting from the front, but we went in and found our way to the beer-garden on the back. The...Waiter/Barman was very friendly and pleasant. the beer was great. I had carved and mean man leberkase. the food was excellent and the portions were extremely full. the prices were also excellent. if we had had more time in passau, we would have eaten here again. a great sound."

"We stopped in here for lunch after the organ concert in the cathedral. It is so charming and cozy with a French there. We thought the food was very good though the waitress somehow misunderstood our order and failed to bring my husband's order. There...were four of us and she delivered three orders and left the table and didn't bring my husband's until he flagged her down. It might have been a communication issue when we were ordering. He eventually got his and we were all happy. It was a memorable meal and the cafe is really charming with a French vibe to it. Highly recommend it."

"Netter Portier, brachte sogar die Koffer aufs Zimmer, Einrichtung der Zimmer eher Hostelcharakter, durch die Gastronomie unter uns konnte man jedes zerkleinern des Hähnchen live miterleben und jede Raucherpause der Angestellten hat man mitgeraucht wenn das Fenster offen war und waren auch bei jedem Gespräch mit dabei, Rücksicht auf die dadrüber schlafenden Gäste war nicht.Frühstück war ein beschauliches Continentalfrühstück."

"We only stopped in for drinks while on the walk over from St. Stephan Cathedral to cross the river and make the climb up to the Oberhaus castle... the large patio overlooks the confluence of the Donau and Ilz - what a perfect setting to enjoy a large mug of the delicious Bavarian Heffeweise (wheat beer) - my son - only 15 - was jealous he did not get to enjoy a brew with his 18 year old cousin! The pretzels did look tempting. The service is table service only - large signs on the outdoor bar to the effect "Take-away Verboten" - but table service was quick and friendly - after our beers we were fortified to make the steep climb up to the castle - but it would be very easy to while away a sunny and pleasant afternoon quaffing multiple brews in this beer garden!"
