"We were invited here to celebrate my sister's birthday. She had reserved a table for the five of us and I loved the set-up of the different wooden tables, old and new and the assorted chairs giving the place an air of charm and making you feel welcome. My sister comes here very often and loves the place. She ordered brunch for us all and we were served a delicious assortment of goodies. My husband had pancakes which were beautifully presented and were devoured within no time! We had scrambled eggs made to our liking. On our way out, we had a peek at the selection of sweet temptations offered at the counter and were quite sad that we did not live closer. We would put it on our list of favourite places to meet up with family and friends. Definitely a place to visit, should you be anywhere in the vicinity."

Just a few vegan options. The staff was not very friendly. We had to wait 15 minutes until part of us finally came to visit us.

Scrambled eggs were nice, but I guess if you want more than the tiniest piece of bread, it would be an optional paid extra. Price wise you could make this dish 10x at home by buying Swiss bio eggs and an actual entire bread so...cannot say this is good enough value for money.

I acctualy like the place causes its cosiness; ...but it has very little vegan option and the soy chai late I was served was moderate water with a little soy milk and a teaspoon of Chaiherbs...a real chai must be cooked, but that warns a real chai. I paid 6.80. What too much...

This place is small and decorated in an interesting old-fashioned way that can be part of the reason that it is quite full. Lunch options are limited, basically a bagel (marked in menu) and a salad, but there are some delicious vegan pastries. Didn't ask if they had soy milk for coffee. Voir le carte

Very noisy!! The standard breakfast tower for 35 chf is not worth it. My pan cakes were so thick like bread. They made mistakes with our order. They brought water without clean glasses. They did not withdraw the empty bottles from the table which...was extremely small. If you go prefer to order exactly what you want not the tower.

"This is my fav Italian joint in Zurich. La Famiglia Tremonte is a small, family run cafe-restaurant that serves excellent and authentic Italian food at prices that are low compared to the norm in Zurich.Famiglia Tremonte is rather inconspicuously located at the corner of Zurlindenstrasse and Birmensdorferstrasse, a couple of doors away from The Desperado Mexican Restaurant. You might need to look for it a little: I lived practically next door and did not notice it for almost a year, and even then a friend had to point it out to me.The restaurant is mostly a takeout with very little seating, i.e. 7 people inside, and when the weather is goo, about 5 people outside. The ambience is basic but, like most things in Switzerland, the interiors are very clean. Staff and service are very goo. The food here is awesome! Authentic Italian fare that is probably heavily influenced by Sicilian tradition since that is where the family is from. I used to visit almost every day because the food tastes great and the prices are so low for Zurich. I have tried almost everything: several pasta dishes, polpettine, stuffed bell peppers, meatloaf, piadina, and of course, the fabulously tasty and hot chilli infused EVOO. I enjoyed every dish I ordered. Great stuff! I strongly recommend the super-hot chilli infused EVOO as a seasoning for almost all dishes, but especially the pasta dishes that come in a cream sauce. Please be careful with chilli EVOO: 0.5 tbsp. for noobs, and a max. of 2 tbsp. for those who like it hot. The chilli EVOO, when used appropriately, adds great flavour to your dish. The piadina is the best I have eaten - period. I have been all over the world, spent a lot of time in Italy and New York (: great place for Italian food lovers :), and I still think this is the best piadina ever. They also serve some nice Italian desserts -- I've tried a few but have forgotten the names. They also have a small selection of Italian ingredients for sale. I bought the pesto and was happy with it. You also get a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic Italian drinks to go with the food.Prices are relatively low by Zurich standards: I rarely ever ate for more than CHF 15, and if I skipped the drinks it was usually around CHF 10. Of course, this varies a bit according to what you order.Highly recommended. Glad I found this place. Great for office workers in the vicinity."
