Buzzy (though also quite noisy) place, most conveniently placed for the Royal Festival Hall and National Theatre, with acceptable food of the standard italian variety and good, friendly service.

We experienced several issues during our visit. First, they misplaced our reservation, leading to a 20-minute wait for a table without any apology. Once seated, we struggled to get the attention of the waitstaff to place our order. The starters were decent but excessively large—my tricolore salad had an entire avocado and a beef tomato. Unfortunately, the main courses were quite disappointing. One friend couldn't even finish their risotto, my calzone was completely flavorless, and the cannelloni was unappealing. Two of the other main dishes were acceptable but not remarkable. While we did receive refunds for three of the meals, the experience overall marred what should have been an enjoyable...

We must admit that we took advantage of a 2-for-1 offer on main courses, so we were all set for a quick dinner. Both the seabass and lamb were excellently cooked, and we decided to add a bottle of good red wine to our meal. The restaurant was filled with children, making it quite noisy, but I doubt anyone was planning a business meeting at 7:30 PM on a Saturday night. We did notice one couple trying to enjoy a "romantic" dinner, but they found it amusing to have to shout across the table. As the restaurant got busier, the service slowed down considerably—if not completely vanished!
