The food quality was superb. I had a taste of the sea bass as well as the chicken, and both were made fresh and tasted nice. The prices outside are out of date, and inside the menu is more expensive by around £3 per dish, so a meal costs around £35 per person, which isn't exactly cheap. For the location, I'd say it's quite expensive, as I've seen similarly priced restaurants in London and Bath, which are expensive locations on its own. I can't complain about the service, it was quick, efficient and polite. The food came in under 15 minutes, and so that's always a plus. Lastly, the decor and atmosphere was great. I went out for a birthday celebration with a friend and was looking forward to it, but I was disappointed with the food. As a vegetarian, there were only two options available, and I chose the veggie platter for a light meal. The platter looked decent, but I was surprised to find that the spinach pie, spanakopita, was deep fried. Unfortunately, I found that the taste of oil overpowered the flavor of the pie, making it feel like eating a greasy sponge. My friend had the Chicken Souvlaki, which is her favorite, and she said it was okay. We were hoping for a fantastic evening, but overall, it was a bit disappointing. Had the most lovely meal here at Athena last night excellent service me and my boyfriend had ordered steak his medium rare and mine rare they came out and the flavour was amazing mine was a little over done but absolutely no problem for me so I didn’t say anything as the steak was buttery and had great flavour and so tender the waiter then came out with a third steak and said really sorry noticed yours was more done than you’d asked and had gave us a free third steak !!!!!!!!! which was mouth watering !! they have the best seasoning and steak in Chippenham and along with there amazing customer service Athena is such a jem for our town can’t wait for my next visit : Service: Dine in Meal type...
