"We did not stay in the hotel but had an evening meal on a Friday at 8.15pm . What a disappointment. We were made to wait until 8.30pm before being seated despite other people being seated on time. The restaurant itself was lite up like Blackpool white bright lights with no ambience more like the cafe culture. The table had no condiments, which, even with the best chefs in the world you should be given the choice I was given a dessert spoon for my soup it was just going from bad to worse. There was also no music in the background so again lacked atmosphere and ambience, and looking at the history of the building, some Glenn Miller would not of gone a miss. The food was okay, but portions were far too small even for me and I only eat small portions. I can only say people liking this atmosphere, the lack of ambience and to be charged way too much for such Then you have Not travelled far in the world. Needless to say, I cannot recommend this restaurant and I will not be going back."

Outstanding. We went to celebrate a family occasion. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant until we left, the staff were welcoming and attentive. The food was superb. We had plaice (which was massive! and roast beef. The food impeccably served (we ate it too fast to photograph it . The views are breathtaking. Thank you very much to everyone at Portmeirion for taking care of us. We can't wait to go again.

This restaurant is located in a stunning location on the coast, right on the outskirts of Porthmeirion village. The setting is Art Deco with clean, crisp lines and offers great views of Porthmeirion bay. The food is fresh, delicious, and prepared to high standards, with generous portions at reasonable prices. The staff were friendly, helpful, and welcoming. We had a great experience and will definitely be returning. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Fine dining at it’s absolute finest! We had a 10 course tasting menu, with every course being utterly delicious! I had the vegetarian option lost my husband had meat option. The presentation, the taste, the staff friendly all made for a superb evening. There was a harpist playing in the bar lounge, who at request played the song we first danced to on our wedding day. The tears flowed, along with good wine and scrumptious cocktails! A truly magical evening. Thank you so very much!

Visited for Sunday Lunch and we were not disappointed! £30 for 2 courses, £36 for 3 course including admission to Portmeirion village. The dining room is in an art-deco style with views across the estuary. Welcome and service were exemplary. Food was beautifully presented and very tasty. The portions were very generous, such that none of us managed 3 courses! The lamb was cooked perfectly. We couldn’t recommend this experience enough. It was the icing on a beautiful Portmeirion experience. Can’t wait to visit again….

This restaurant never fails to impress. We received a fabulous warm welcome and were quickly seated even though we had made a reservation. The wine list was probably the most impressive I’ve ever seen in the UK. The service was impeccable, with beautifully presented dishes served flawlessly. There was not a single fault to be found. Even the coffee in the lounge was excellent. The prices were very fair considering the high standard of food and service. This was one of the best Sunday lunches I’ve ever had. Be sure to book in advance.

Stayed in the Watch House last night (30th August 2023) for our 10th wedding anniversary and booked a table in the hotel restaurant. The service was above par, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and the food was out of this world, absolutely loved every single mouthful. I went for the lobster to start, my husband the skate wing, then the steak for mains and husband ate the duck, then we both had soufflé for dessert, it was all absolutely amazing and enhanced our whole experience of staying in the watch house for our anniversary.

Worst Sunday lunch in a long time.Starters were the consistency of baby food. Congealed tasteless gravy;veg had obviously been stood under heat lamp for significant time and Yorks Pud like old leather. Chewy beef. Servers cloth dipped in gravy on one diners plate with response being “it’s a clean cloth”. One of our party had fish no fish knife or plate offered to put bones on,let alone being asked if boning was needed. We asked for service charge to be taken off, which it was. Would have asked for full refund but booked as special treat and didn’t want party to be further upset. Only decent thing was the excellent harpist and welcoming receptionist.
