Antika Roma ist nach meiner Einschätzung die älteste Pizzeria in Recklinghausen. Der freundliche Kellner, der auch schon lange dabei ist, serviert das hochwertige Essen, das vom Chef persönlich zubereitet wird.

Ich war vor einem Jahr noch auf der Marienstr. 156 (in den Räumlichkeiten einer ehemaligen Metzgerei) zum ersten Mal hier. Man hat sich zwar Mühe gegeben, das ganze italienisch einzurichten, aber der Laden war dafür doch eindeutig zu klein. Mittlerweile ist das Restaurant auf die Marienstr. 160 umgezogen und da macht es richtig was her. Die Einrichtung ist sehr gemütlich und das Personal sehr nett. Das Essen ist sehr lecker. Einen Punkt Abzug gibt es für die nicht ganz stilechte Bruschetta, die hier auf Pizzabrötchen statt auf traditionellem Bruschetta-Brot serviert wird und weil es mir bei meinem Lieblingsitaliener La Rocca in Oer-Erkenschwick noch einen Tacken besser schmeckt.
