"cheaper place with Bavarian eating - and burgers. theoretically a nice concept. if only the service were in order, I would probably have had nothing against it. but in this kind of rudeness I feel obliged to warn others before a visit. I know that Germany is a service dessert, even the German laugh about it. but the unfriendly and inexpressible woman who served us really went to the limits. if she made the effort to put our tellers on the table (instead of keeping them in the air above the table, as it is customary for some reason in Germany), she would smash them and not serve them. to the happiness we were not part of the group that played this evening in a table board games, as they got a neat make-over by miss moody. whether there is a thing to approve people who do not order food and yet occupy an esstic, but there is a decent opportunity to tell them if they do not. to eat: I didn't expect much and it wasn't that bad. I would avoid the burger next time. the taste was in order, but it was dry and made more than good (microwave if they asked me.) I would go back when the beer garden is open, as it is probably quite nice. but it will be without any decent service, except to lose the children on the big playground outside. as already mentioned, you will be better served elsewhere for perhaps a few euro more in other similar places, with perhaps better eating, better beer (I think it was paulaner!)"

Very authentic Bavarian restaurant with friendly staff. It's near our hotel in we went in after whole day strolling around Munich. Portions are huge (you can order also small), you can pay with credit card.

After a long flight from the US, we enjoyed a fabulous dinner at Alter Wirt. The service was friendly and the food portions large. The spinach-kaese spaetzle was probably the best I've ever eaten! The traditional Bavarian atmosphere was charming and prices were reasonable.

We had dinner here last week, the service was great, food was above average, and of course a lot of good beer to choose from. Our waiter spoke English and the menu also had English. We ate inside as it was cool out, but would...have loved to sit outside in the beautiful garden. There seemed to be a lot of locals there watching futbol. Would go again, highly recommend. We stayed at a nearby AirBnB and this was our go to place. We were lucky enough to be there when it was still warm enough to use the outdoor beer garden, but on the cool nights we would go into the restaurant. Very friendly...help, really good draft beer and the food was not only very good, but very reasonably priced. We even had breakfast once and it was really good too.

Last night I was with a buddy of mine for the first time since a few years here (I know this place far over a decade.) he had a classic burger with pommes and I had matjes (fish) with rösti (bratkartoffeln), which was all delicious enough. the service was good, but the place was not full at all, although it was only 19 on a Friday night. the bar / restaurant is nicely decorated and comfortable enough '. Maybe it's because it doesn't serve the best beer in little dunes, maybe it's just not as special as it could be. from this reason I classify it as good... between 3 and 4 reviews. it is the kind of place I would not rush to but would go if I am in thalkirchen (this part of a little) and look... we were 3 times on our 8-day trip there. eating was really good, beer cold, service mixed. the owner was an idiot when our team showed up. apparently he didn't appreciate our business and refused many of us. this is confusing as most institutions want to make business. the other 2 visits were better with better service. the best was a visit to lunch, where the waitress was pleasant and helpful with the menu. since we recently moved to thalkirchen, we were already a few times there and only once was I satisfied with the service. this place may offer Bavarian food, but all of poor quality, very salty and greasy. the waitresses are always different there, whether they order something simple or not, they will wait a long time. first for a waitress, then for eating.
