"Al Casale is fairly remote being about 15 kilometres inland from Marina di Ragusa but definitely worth seeking out if you are in area. As part of a group of 19 staying in the nearby Villa Zinna we had booked Al Casale for dinner. A fabulous courtyard setting under the olive trees for the most amazing meal. Starting at 20:30 we were treated to course after course of Sicilian cuisine for two and half hours. We lost count of the number of dishes but it must have been about 12 served over 8 courses. By half way through most of us were full and few managed to reach the end of the gastronomic tour of Sicily. Lots of veggie dishes and as well as lamb, pork and beef dishes, but no fish as is common in most Agritourismo restaurants that showcase farm produce. Unlimited decanters of local white and red wine and bottled water was provided throughout the meal. And the most amazing thing of all? The cost for everything was only €20 per person! Truly deserving of its five star rating from most reviewers. Top Tips Our two ‘ veggies’ and one celiac were fully catered for (pre-booking essential) with alternatives being offered to all meat dishes. Little English spoken by the family who run the restaurant so it was helpful that we had some Italian speakers in our party to help know what the dishes were. Pre-booking for large parties essential for large parties and probably for everyone else as well given food is specially prepared."

We spent 3 nights here with the family and had a wonderful experience, Francesca and Massimo were fantastic hosts, we had delicious breakfasts and a wonderful Italian dinner with wine. A comfortable family friendly atmosphere. The rooms were clean and comfortable and only a 15 min drive from Marina di Ragusa and the beach.

We visited the restaurant for lunch. The food and wine were incredible. It is all home made and the portions are very generous. The service was very helpful and friendly. Although the restaurant is off the main routes it is worth visiting as the surroundings are outstanding. Overall it was a great experience and excellent value for money.

Our hotel recommended Agriturismo Al Casale and our evening there will live forever in our memories. With very little English spoken we had around 7 courses of delicious home made Sicilian food presented to us. Antipasto, breads, tasting plates, pastas, meats, salad and desserts .... and wine. We couldn't eat another mouthful and had to decline coffee. We sat outside with groups of other diners and felt spoilt. It was an amazing and extremely reasonably priced Sicilian experience.

We booked this agroturisno for one meal during our family stay. It is in a very beautiful place among fields and is a splendid old farm,very cosy especially with lightening after dark.the menu is well priced and service very helpful.The antipasti are a set of cheeses,salami but also a small soup.Their pasta with ricotta and tomatoes sauce is delicious. We were not very impressed on the contrary by the dessert which is a traditional jelly.Important for families:there is a lovely playground just by the eating area.

We had a fabulous time here. A great place to stay if you want to visit the locations for Inspector Montalbano! The family were really friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Lovely spacious clean room with outdoor seating area. They even let us borrow a phone charger! Great fun speaking a combination of Italian and English with the help of translation on mobile phones. The pool looked lovely and had been prepared for us but unfortunately we didn’t have time to use it. We had lovely food and wine for dinner on both nights that we stayed there. We were very lucky with finding the place (after we visited Ragusa thanks to the instructions and photos on their website. The place itself is wonderful, relaxing and welcoming. The eating area is very cosy and very clean. There is only one person doing the service, but you did not have a wait at all. He did a very good job and was very very friendly! The food was sublime! No menu, so each course was a surprise, which we found very good. Antipasti were very nice... Warm ricotta on the side... It was so delicious, I had another one : although I knew there was a lot more stuff coming. Ravioli with ricotta was delicious, another pasta with egg plant was bit salty for me, but also nice. And than...
