"The food had just come from the fridge so cold it tasted of nothing. The tea pot lid would not open so unable to stir the tea. The cake was stale. The clotted cream was so cold it would not spread, and a very minimal amount. This was a birthday gift to me and I feel it was very poor. There was no service at all nobody ."

the afternoon tea sandwiches were not fresh,as they were still cold from being in the fridge,also the scones were rather stale.overall very bad for such a lovely hotel.We got married there in 2014,it was so much better.

The character building was beautiful and charming, the afternoon was lovely, and the portion sizes were just right. Every aspect was nearly perfect. The scones were absolutely delicious, I would rate them 10/10! I will definitely be returning soon.

the restaurant is called very romantic, but I'm sorry it wasn't the case. eating was nice, but the restaurant was cold and the background music was really depressing. I have made the comment that the restaurant was cold for the coworker and he has just agreed with me! not what I expected in terms of an answer at all.
