Fantastic, authentic food. The meat was up there with some of the best I have had in Newcastle, and almost if good as Berenjak in London. Good service, good drinks, all ground great spot.

I was staying in a hotel mins away having had surgery on my mouth thought it looked a nice place it’s absolutely amazing had hummus to start thought it would be cool and soothing it was all this and more the best hummus I’ve ever tasted

If we could rate it higher we would. The food was out of this world. Our starter (pictured) was one the best we've had for some time.The staff were ever so friendly. You get a warm welcome as soon as you walk in. We couldn't recommend the place highly enough. Voir le carte

We had hummus and grilled halloumi followed by Berg (tender slices of grilled filet lamb) superb crispy chips, great tomato, cucumber and mint salad. All fresh and pretty on the plates. Plenty of choices on the menu. Baclava looked good too but we didn’t have room to eat more. Great value cocktails two for £12. Staff delightful. Really enjoyed our meal.

Located on Osbourne Road, Taste of Persia stands out among the many bars and restaurants in the area. We have visited a couple of times while visiting our daughter and both experiences were fantastic. The food is high quality, delicious, and reasonably priced, and the staff are friendly and attentive. They even offer a 2-for-£12 cocktail deal. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Booked for a weekday date after wanting to come here for several years. We ordered the sharing mezze platter, then shared the 3 skewer main with chips. The food was delicious, in particular the stuffed vine leaves from the platter. The staff were kind and caring, making our meal a great experience. I went for dinner tonight and was completely impressed by the high quality of everything. The staff, food, and atmosphere were all top-notch, and the value for money was exceptional! It is a hidden gem and I will certainly be returning soon. This restaurant is perfect for meeting friends and would also make a great spot for a date night. I highly recommend this fantastic dining spot.

I have been to many Persian Restaurants and I have to say this is one of the best I have visited. The food is exceptional and service really attentive. Starters we had a mix of homemade yogurts with garlic and herbs, Haloumi and breads for dipping for starters absolutely beautiful ! Then the mains. Koobideh mince lamb kebab with bread. Gormeh Sabzi and Chicken with saffron. Served with perfect basmati Rice cooked to perfection. The Desert, ice cream home made , faloodeh saffron ice cream was beyond anything I have ever tasted... What an absolute gem of a restaurant. Highly recommend this place...

While wandering the streets of Jesmond, my two sisters and I stumbled upon Taste of Persian. We were having a belated celebration for three special birthdays that were missed during lockdown. The early evening visit was met with a warm welcome from a friendly lady who quickly found us a table, even though we didn't have a reservation. We enjoyed three delicious cocktails and a mezeh platter for starters, all beautifully presented and tasty. For main course, two of us had the Darbarri kebab while the other had the Shishlick, along with three side dishes that were also beautifully presented. We left the restaurant feeling full and satisfied, and we commend the staff for a job well done. Voir le carte
