"We booked for 7:30 pm on a Wednesday evening in August and were the only diners for a while but by 8:00 pm the there was a good crowd and a pleasant atmosphere. The waitress was friendly and very efficient considering the number of tables she had to cover alone. we were never ignored. We decided on the traditional menu at €26 which effectively provided a free dessert or cheese compared to the same dishes taken from the a la carte menu. Everything we had was very well cooked and presented on some interestingly designed plates. My steak was perfectly cooked medium rare. My wife’s cod had a tasty turmeric and wine sauce. I had the cheese to finish and I was advised to eat the 3 pieces in a specific order. It worked! Nice to see a selection of half bottles of local wines price sensibly compared to the equivalent full bottles. Happy to recommend."
