"Very good restaurant with warm service with great views onto the banks of the Seine in Vernon, the charming town where the train stops on your journey to Giverny from Paris (and where we learned that we were now in Normandy). They have a good a la carte menu with daily specials. Among the very good dishes we had were a squash veloute, tuna tartare and a bavette of beef with terrific Béarnaise sauce. Service is natural and correct, and our young server spoke very good English."
