"In one word: disappointing! An essentially good meal was destroyed by almost universally negligent service! The welcome was pleasant and friendly. Aperitif: Instead of a white sherry (I had explained this to the waiter several times I was brought a white port. After the waiter didn't show up, I had to get up and go to the bar myself. The amuse-howling was fine. But I had to guess what it was, it wasn't explained. A shrimp tartare was included, tasty and balanced. I ordered three oysters as an aperitif, which came classically on ice with lemon and a very fine mignonette. Unfortunately only two came, which was completely okay (I can't tolerate oysters anyway, so it wouldn't be wrong to consume one less... they're just fine . appetizer Chanterelles with a small hoop of buckwheat and a tarragon jus. Unfortunately, the latter was not explained and came (as an effect after the plates were served. The matching wine was poured emotionlessly. What kind of wine this is was not disclosed. Second appetizer Shrimp with cauliflower. Paired with a white wine. Which? Unfortunately I don't know. Main course Luma Nierstueck with spaetzli, cabbage and plum. Very nicely balanced and intense aroma. Successful different consistencies. It would be a thrill for all the senses! But unfortunately it was already cold and with small mistakes in the serving and only brief information about the food and wine. It's the only red wine of the evening. dessert Nashi pear with two kinds of chocolate. One with a strong cocoa aroma and a very pleasant mouthfeel. Here too, few explanations. A Sancerre (waiter had to read from the bottle again.. as an accompaniment, certainly not wrong... the port that was delivered incorrectly at the beginning would also have fit here. The food served elsewhere ranged from good (pulpo to outstanding (scallop tartar garni with ositra, crepe Suzette as dessert including show . The service was, as mentioned at the beginning, sloppy, slow and FAR away from the perfection proclaimed by the host himself! Not only was the menu practically never explained, but the justification for the corresponding wine pairing was completely missing. The waiter simply had no idea and only read the label when asked. I felt compelled to ask the chef de service for the starter in order to avoid further bitter disappointments. The person addressed introduced himself as the manager and asked for understanding as the young waitress was a person in training. This, of course, deserved our goodwill. Unfortunately, we kept the waiter for the evening. The dishes were not served at the table at the same time and without explanation. The wine was once even poured incorrectly without asking (ie into a glass with other wine . A notable exception was the serving of the Crepe Suzette. Apart from the fact that the performance is entertaining and always an eye-catcher, it was very pleasant to the taste. The design of the restaurant is extraordinary! A very successful variety of materials, room heights and lighting. Unfortunately, the music is quite loud and conversation is tiring at the large tables. All in all, the visit was sobering (despite the wine . The Gault-Millau tester probably had a very good day here. In any case, my expectations were far from being met. A much clearer and more lasting improvement should have become apparent after my consultation with the manager at the latest. You can (should! do without the wine pairing, but there was no surprising discovery. Instead, you can choose from the extensive menu yourself. At least you know what you're getting."

"I wish I could give a better note to the restaurant, after all the service and the place itself is very nice, including the very entertaining opera singing, but let's be honest: this is a restaurant, and the food was simply sub par. The soup noodle starter was very bland, lacking flavours and complexity. The vegetable pancake was nice, but nothing to rave about: a simple kind of fritada with spring onions and a sauce to dip in...simple in taste as in existence. The rice cake with the spicy sauce was very good. Not only was the chewyness of the rice on point, but also the balance of the sauce was spot on. Next, the fried chicken was also good, moist, and crunchy with a nice sweet and salty sauce. As a main, I had the beef, which also came with rice, kimichy, and pickled vegetables. This was a big disappointment: although the beef was tender, it lacked complexity, refinement and flavours. It was like drinking decaff coffee...decent, but absolutely forgettable. The dessert, a vanilla ice cream was also not very good, and most probably not homemade, tasting like some big low brands with lots of fake vanilla flavours. All that, unfortunately, came at a very high price when included tips and drinks. While prices for food in Switzerland are generally insanely high compared to other countries, what we paid here was beyond the acceptable norm given the level of the food."
