"We had been waiting to visit Rangrez for a fair while. The food was worth the wait and that is the most important bit. I had interacted with the owner over a Facebook post and I took his word to try the Daal Makhani. It met the mark. While the main Punjabi dishes were on point, the Chinese inspired Gobhi dish was a touch too oily and was served without any chutneys, which is disappointing. For an authentic Punjabi food joint, it was odd to see the onion salad charged separately I have probably been spoilt by all the desi authentic places that would never charge for onions, chillies, chutneys, so on. The decor is inspired by the hinterland and makes for an interesting sit in experience. They played the iconic 'Chitthi aayi hai ' on ambient, it works well with the Indian diaspora. Service was efficient, considering the restaurant was still not to capacity in early evening hours of a Sunday. I did wonder why they insisted us to be seated in certain part whilst majority of tables were free and were not taken even by the time we finished our meal. I noticed the owner duo having a friendly chat with some diners it is always nice to see that kind of rapport. They personally stopped by to ask about the food and if everything was ok. A word on desserts the mix and match is worth trying. A note to restaurant: the gulab jaamun is best served hot when accompanied by an ice cream. I am sure this must have been an oversight in an otherwise really good food experience. Also, with saag on the menu, I really missed not seeing makke di roti and some more bread variants. All said: a good food joint, slightly higher on price scale, one for repeats."

"I have bought several food/labels at this pret. it is in padding and is very practical when it expresses the paddington after heathrow. which I did much as a frequent international business traveler before-COVID. while I prefer to take warm meals from wasabi (in the same building), the avo tom is great cold items to get and beware in their pocket as it goes well for several hours. —————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— Nevertheless, I take this chain and order the avo and tom vegan sandwich that is served on a baguette (instead of boring bread) and filled with olive cake, avocado and tomato. the olive cake really does this sandwich justity, as it tastes in comparison to its other vegan options. my partner likes the vegan meatball pack he claims is the best option offered at pret. the celestial vegan croissant is very good, but rather sweet, which makes it hard for me to eat (I wish they had a simple.) they also offer vegetable milk drinks, should they have a coffee or tee latte."
