"Top quality fruit veg and bakery products. Lovely store with a great atmosphere and top quality products and a lot of local suppliers like Longley farm creams yoghurts and cottage cheeses (they are just the best you can buy) Staff very helpful and then when you 're finished shopping you can go and get other things you need from the other stores on site or go and grab a chippy meal in the fylde fish and chip restaurant Just went in today 19/5/22 and was impressed. They were disinfecting all the trolleys and baskets. I didn 't think any stores did that anymore. As a business owner myself I will say this store seems to have TOO MANY employees working especially in the evening time. I went in around 7.50pm and lots of staff twiddling thumbs hanging around. Three standing by customer service cigarettes kiosk etc and another three hanging around the tills talking to two other cashiers on the tills. No matter what time I go in I always find the most miserable unhelpful person working on the cigarette counter as they just don 't seem to want to serve anyone. I am just getting my lottery or maybe a newspaper and so many times I 've just felt like saying Do you know if its too much trouble to serve me then dont bother Having said all that other staff like on the butchers or bakery have been very pleasant and helpful and as supermarkets go the quality variety quantity and cleanliness is just the best"

"Very disappointed to have to compose this review feeling like we have given The Wayfarer chance after chance but now enough is enough and I hope this review helps them to reevaluate their staffing and operating procedures. I would describe my friends and I as...regulars of this establishment and this is the last disappointing experience that we will be encountering. Our experiences are a catalogue of poor management, inadequate management training and generally poor customer service and a complete lack of gratitude for patrons that are supporting their business especially following such turbulent times as we have all experienced recently. To list a few examples: We were left sitting at the bar on one visit for a good half an hour having asked the manager for our bill to settle up and leave. It got to the point where another customer actually pointed out to the staff member that we were waiting to pay. Another evening we were sat at the bar. I went to the toilet and returned to find that one of the waitresses had clocked off and sat in my seat. Even though I had left my drink there and my friend was still sitting there. I reached over her to retrieve my drink and no apology was provided nor did she move. Also, the manager was also sitting with her. I would have thought that a better example could be set to your staff. Having had a busy day we arrived at and upon enquiring as to whether food was being served were told that the chef had gone home. To rub salt in the wounds we were then informed that food should have been served till but they had closed the kitchen early. Further salt was rubbed upon hearing the service bell and food then coming out to other patrons. Before the manager proceeded to clean down the bar and also before asked if we had any last orders! A great way to make your patrons feel welcome. The blunt conclusion is that we definitely won’t be returning and to be frank I would rather spend my money with a business that appreciates the custom and customer. I feel that my complaints are fundamental basics to the running of a successful and welcoming establishment. It’s disappointing to say the least that the standards offered here are deemed to be acceptable by the management and owners."
