"We decided to try Soho Oak for a meal while traveling between East England and South Wales, as we enjoy Desi food pubs. After trying two others, we settled on this pub based on reviews. The parking lot was full and many cars were parked on the street side. However, we were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful atmosphere, decor, and numerous attentive employees. We were greeted by a friendly young lady and had to wait about 10 minutes for a table, but were able to enjoy drinks from the bar in the meantime. The poppadoms, curries, naans, and rice were all delicious, and we even took home some leftovers from the generous portions. The restaurant was bustling with Punjabi families and young people enjoying themselves. After our meal, the manager came by to chat, which was a nice touch. We will definitely be back, especially with our daughter who also loved it. - Mick, Ali, and Lily."

"The service at this restaurant was poor, the portions were small, and it was expensive for takeout! As a family of 5 adults, we were extremely disappointed. We were given a portion of salad to share, a spoonful of rice, and a tiny piece of wrap. This was not what we expected for almost £100, especially since we had to collect the food ourselves and it was lukewarm/cold. We had requested the food to be ready at a certain time, but they called half an hour earlier to say it was ready, which was incorrect. We later found out that the message was not passed on to the kitchen staff. The lamb and chicken were overcooked and dry. When we called to complain and mention that sides were missing, the person who answered dismissed our complaint and refused to acknowledge our concerns. Overall, this takeaway was not worth the price and very overpriced. The staff even requested pictures to prove our experience, so here they are..."

"Wow! This has to be the Midlands' best kept secret. I would even say it is on par if not better than a lot of the restaurants in Birmingham. My wife has been regular with her friends but last night we decided to go out and meet up with some of our wider family. I can't describe the quality of the food which was amazing. I haven't enjoyed a restaurant so much in years. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed no stress. The staff were really polite and caring special praise for our waiters Ellie and Drew thank you for making last night so nice. Location was perfect lovely view. A very well run restaurant and a big thank you to the owner and all the staff that worked there especially the staff we do not see who are back of house. You are the hidden heroes thank you."
