"Category: Simple Italian After a nice walk with dog on the beach from Horumersiel to Schillig, my friends wanted to visit their favorite Italian and waiter Oswaldo and eat something there. My choice would not have been this restaurant if I had been alone at the North Sea. Location and ambience: Located near the town centre on the Goldstraße, right opposite the Waterkant. Not very welcoming from the outside, because the restaurant is more like a shop than a restaurant. Front huge shop windows to the street as a non-smoking room, with open kitchen area with pizza oven. The smoking room is a covered, glazed, former passage between two houses. Cold and uncomfortable. Food drinks, service: simple Italian, no great specialties on the map, pizza and pasta, meat and fish dishes. Appetizer was an Italian appetizer for 10.50 €. There was not much. A little parma ham without melon, sheep cheese, inlaid paprika, tomato mozzarella and some warm vegetables (broccoli and so on. I had Rigatoni al Arrabiata, nice sharp, al dente, good. I forgot the price, so at 8.00 euros. The Mitessians were partly disappointed by their food, noodles with salmon in a thread sauce. The waiter was friendly, the searched Oswaldo in Italy, there was a grappa on the house. That's it. Beverages came quickly and were good (Jever-Pils, Red Wine etc. . Only light sight was a lady in the non-smoking area, which we could observe through the glass pane as you tried to enslave her pizza from below. Conclusion: The food should be better when Oswaldo is present. I don't know if I'm gonna test this on my next visit to Horumersiel. I don't care about this Italian glass house."
