"We came here on the recommendation of friends but have to be honest and say it was a real disappointment. The location is beautiful so we thought we’d try lunch one day with a view to having an evening meal the following week. As it turned out the food was nothing special but the most disappointing thing was the service to say it was indifferent would be an understatement we were virtually ignored from beginning to end to the extent that we felt we could have strolled out at the end without paying and no one would have noticed or bothered (I hasten to add we didn’t actually do this! . I can see from other reviews that people have different experiences here, but we certainly won’t be returning for an evening meal. Unwelcoming, ungracious, unsmiling, undeserving of any stars in our experience."
