"Ero in questo trattore da remoto quando lo gestivo era ancora Mr. Nino: la classica trattoria con cucina tipica siciliana, dove si poteva mangiare bene a prezzi accettabili. diciassette anni dopo, la gestione dei locali è il nipote, che ha sapientemente ristrutturato l'interno, ma ha avuto la gentilezza di lasciare il vecchio insegnamento, per voler sigillare una certa continuità con il passato, rinnovandosi. il risultato è comunque eccellente: cucina a livelli molto alti, porzioni giuste ma sicuramente non si esce da qui con fame, personale attento e cortese. Siamo stati qui nella serata di Capodanno e quindi c'era la fine dell'anno menu per guardare così tanti ma è stato denaro speso davvero bene, sono sicuro che il nino sarà molto orgoglioso di suo nipote per come sta gestendo questa attività storica di taormina. menzione speciale per il semifreddo agli agrumi che è tra i migliori dolci che ho mangiato qui in Sicilia"

"We visited the restaurant for a birthday dinner and it was the most incredible experience as well as absolutely beautiful food. The location and setting is stunning and the staff made us feel like a million dollars! Our server Lucia was particularly amazing so attentive, friendly and really wanted us to have a great time (which we of course did! The food is excellent, and yes it is expensive but completely worth it for a special occasion or treat as it is an great experience as well as a lovely meal."

"How this place doesn’t have 17 Michelin stars by now is beyond me. WOW. What an incredible dining experience. I would mention every course on the tasting menu, but the most absolutely noteworthy course was the ravioli that just popped in your mouth. The ravioli studied at Princeton and graduated summa cum laude and practices law in its spare time. Pure excellence. And it’s also worth mentioning the staff, so kind and attentive and they really augmented the dining experience. I’m serious when I say this: I WILL be back someday!!"

"Despite its location in what feels like the Olive Garden's interpretation of authentic Sicily, tourist mecca Taormina, I had a really good experience at Rosmarino. There were no tables available but we were able to put our name in for 45 minutes later during what would typically be peak dinner time, although this is after the cruise ship crowd clears out of town. Luckily, Rosmarino is situated directly across the street from Taormina's public gardens so it was a pleasant wait. A table on the terrace allowed us to continue enjoying the view during dinner. What I ate was excellent. While I was too busy enjoying my meal to make detailed observations, I can wholeheartedly recommend both the caserecce al sugo (fresh handmade pasta in pork ragu) and rotolini alla messinese (beef involtini with cheese and breadcrumb filling)."

"We visited this little restaurant as it always seemed to be busy, which is a good sign. We managed to get a table outside on the steps which was lovely on a hot night. We believe it is run by father and daughter front of house as well as the excellent chefs. We had some help with the menu and the food was well waiting for. Nothing was any trouble and they were very humble and polite, not at all pushy like in some restaurants. Only wish we could have visited again, but it was our last night. Should have tried it earlier on during our 5 night stay and then we would certainly visited again. Wishing them continued good look "

"for me one of the best restaurants on the island. excellent wines that go beyond the production of the island and beyond commercial wines. I served with artisan butter flavored in three different ways really excellent, but the biggest surprise was fish tartare, an unforgettable triptych with citrus sauces of a delicacy never seen before. sweet, a citrus cream on sweet cuscus is a prilibacy that recalls ancient flavors of cinnamon and spices. chocolate caponata absolutely to try. dear but perfectly suited to quality. one of the best dinners in recent years. very kind staff but not sliced, we felt at home."

"Table wasn’t ready. We went to the trouble of visiting in the afternoon to make sure we got a table outside. Everything was organised with directly with them as well as our online booking. They even showed which table it would be. When the 6 of us arrived on time we were made to sit inside . No table inside was set so they scurried around whilst we were made to stand around and, then when seated, someone was smoking in the service room near our table. Food was just ok ."

"It's a magical place, found almost by chance. is located at the bottom of a staircase, which walks pleasantly seen the beauty and the view that open as you descend. Once arrived you are in a hidden bay with fishing boats landing. there are places both inside and outside, we ate inside because there was no place outside, but the table was perfect with a beautiful view and a serene atmosphere. the lady in addition to the menu reads us a menu out on the fish of the day, we chose a raw mixture, clams of appetizer and finally grilled. I've been walking in Sicily for 10 days and I've never eaten here, delicious fish. if you have doubts about the freshness of the fish, they will pass you when you see the fishermen sell to the owner on the return from the fishing line. on absolutely honest prices considered everything. for a dinner where I am ocito sazio and satisfied are on 50€ per person."

"Had late night cheese and wine here after a long day travelling and exploring. Delighted with the quality of everything we ate and drank. Not a cheap option and no idea what it's like during the day but our experience was positive. The wine list includes high to mid prices. We opted for, Cabernet Franc Collio Conti Formentini, and it was one of the best wines we had in Sicily. I'm considering buying a case online as it's not expensive, although shipping will bump it up a bit! The cheese board was sensational and we loved the peaceful outdoor tables with subtle lighting, lovely."

"The reason I awarded this restaurant 3 stars and not less is because of the superb view. Otherwise it is not worth paying so much for the food on offer. I was not going to write a review because we enjoyed the view and most of the staff were nice and we were given the best table on the terrace we enjoyed the view immensely. However I later decided to write because it is a pity to have such a beautiful location and have such poor quality food on offer. Hopefully the management will address this problem other guests at the same hotel we were staying in, had exactly the same opinion, a sheer waste of money. I also felt a review would be the fair thing to do for fellow travellers who might be saving this dinner as a trip highlight. Above all to be fair to other restaurants throughout Tarormina who with great sacrifice are offering a much better product. Reasons for low rating: 1.We had a short wait, no problem at all, but even the tiniest hole in the wall restaurant offers a glass of prosecco while you wait 2. Pasta course simply disastrous. The plates were brought to our table very soon, which did not bode well. In fact it was bland, all clumped up as if it had been heated in a bowl and dumped onto the plate; I had to losen it up with my fork. And it was so overcooked soft and clumpy, far from al dente! My husband 's had warm and cold pockets, surely heated in a microwave. 3. Main course chateaubriand this was quite ok albeit not the best cut we 've eaten, medium rare as requested, although bleeding onto the plate. But ok. However we were not given a steak knife but a common table knife and, worst of all, the accompanying sauces were taken out of a jar for sure, mayonnaise and sauce tartare and a very watery gravy. Blasphemy for such a restaurant and prices. 4. Dessert nice although I wanted a cannolo and the person taking the order gruffly said 'no cannolo, finished ' while looking elsewhere. 5. A nice touch was a good amount of pastries brought along with the coffee a suspiciously good amount. Well, they all tasted the same, actually not tasting of anything, just bland pastry rosettes. I repeat that this review is meant to sound an alarm, many people we met in Taormina had the same opinion, and it is a pity. I rarely write such reviews in fact."

"durante una vacanza fugace a Taormina abbiamo voluto provare ad andare a cena in questo rinomato ristorante e devo dire che saremmo stati sicuramente più soddisfatti se non fosse stata per una davvero fastidiosa vicinanza allo stato sottostante, che purtroppo non fa bene all'atmosfera generale, che sarebbe di sua propria invece solo romantica così vicino al mare. come accennato, per il resto abbiamo mangiato abbastanza bene (anche se alcuni piatti sono sicuramente più di successo di altri), una cucina all'avanguardia che si può scegliere di provare con un menu vegetariano, carne o pesce o anche una la carte (consiglio il menu vegetariano). porzioni appropriate al contesto. abbiamo accompagnato tutto con un grande vino ficiligno, consigliato dal personale, che posso dire che sono sempre stato presente e cortese. Infine, come già menzionato da altri utenti, i costi non sono ovviamente alla portata di nessuno, ma ancora non esagerati considerando il tipo di camera. così tutto ok in generale, posizione per sé eccezionale, ma purtroppo in una posizione non certamente ottimale. peccato."

"esperienza da dimenticare. A partire dal servizio, eravamo sette persone al tavolo, alcune birre ordinate e noi due bicchieri di vino. Beh, hanno portato le birre già aperte tenendole con le mani da dove si beve e per un cameriere che tocca e serve qualcosa non è la parte superiore del servizio. è noto che i prodotti si aprono di fronte ai clienti. i bicchieri erano già versati e il vino aveva un sapore acido. Abbiamo optato per la bottiglia. Infine non à ̈ stato aperto e oltre la scarsa professionalità e gentilezza del personale che di fretta ha cercato di rimuoverci davanti, poi ha lasciato la bottiglia con tanto di panno da pizza sporco, noi che la pizza non abbiamo preso. è stato meglio il silenzio dato le già numerose lamentele, abbiamo semplicemente rimosso il panno. il pesce fritto era salato, l'unica cosa che piaceva era la porzione di pasta che ovviamente aveva dimenticato e che arrivò almeno un'ora dopo, circa la mezzanotte. In breve, esperienza tremenda, per me è fuori. È un luogo che ha rovinato tanto la preziosa perla che è taormina, soprattutto perché si trova nel cuore di quest'ultima e a pochi passi dalla piazza centrale. Vi garantisco che ci sono locali vicini che hanno un servizio eccellente e un'eccellente qualità dei prodotti. questo lo scoraggia totalmente, peggio per coloro che sono romani (ho portato colleghi romani quella sera) ed è sul menu la carbonara con crema. fuori"
