"We visited the lovely Sauris in winter time. It was a cold but lovely sunny day. We decided to have lunch there. We walked a little bit and chose this restaurant without having any information about it. It was a nice surprised. It is very cozy and pleasant. The decoration and furniture are very appropriated for a a a town like Sauris. The food was excellent. We had some prosciutto and speck as entree and our main dish was pasta. It was very tasty and original. Some filled pasta with salmon. Of course the prosciutto and the speck were outstanding. My husband had only a glass of wine from Friuli. He really liked it. And we had some coffee to finish our nice meal. The service was good and our waiter very friendly. They offer typical food from Friuli but with the special flavor of the Carnia region. A nice experience. I would love to visit again this cute town and eat here once again."

"We were 4 adults and 4 children. Immediately you feel in a different kind of restaurant: Warm familial atmosphere, like the people of this remote village know to give. Sauris di sopra is a really remote place but even if you are one hour far from there don 't miss dinner in this restaurant. It was all excellent: the prosciutto, the lazania, the pasta, the wine and the filet that i took and recommend; that was the best that i ever ate:rich, soft, and very tasty. The most famous prosciutto in Sauris is that of Wolf whice is located in sauris di sotto, but Neider offers you the one of Sauris Vecchia (whice is located at the last house to the south of Sauris di sotto). I think it is more delicate and It is no wonder why they choose it. Take the sweet (dolce) one. Naftali, Jerusalem"
