"Looking for something a little different than a lunch time sandwich, we chose the Restaurant Las Goteras which is at the La Laguna recreation park, just above Barlovento in the north east of La Palma. My partner and I chose a starter (unusual for us! of fried cheese with cranberry sauce which was absolutely lovely. For the main course we had the grilled fish with chips and a little salad which was just perfect in quality, quantity, price and service. The restaurant is set in lovely grounds with a large pond opposite with ducks and surrounded by woodland. It's the ideal place to take children for a run around as it's a big area, has a very good playground and is away from traffic. Just to mention that it can be a little chilly on winter days, so you will almost certainly want a light fleece don't tip up in shorts and T shirt in winter."
