"The Chronicles of a Burrito Connoisseur on Tour. Location: Pisa, Italy It had been a long day trekking the mean streets of Pisa. As I sat down to eat, my Polar watch told me I had clocked 24,000 steps so far for the day. Therefore, before my flight home I required some sustenance to replenish my glycogen stores and that meant only 1 thing...the Holy Grail. This place was only a 5 minute walk from the airport. I had it scoped out well in advance and arrived shortly after they opened their doors for the evening at 7 PM. #detectivepikachu #eagerbeaver Admittedly, I went into this one blind, as I don 't speak Italiano and so wasn 't sure exactly what was going to be inside it. I opted for their 'Beef Burrito ' as this was the only English description on their board. Thanks to Google Translate, I know now the fillings consisted of Thai Rice Mix, Black Rice Corn, a mix of Cheddar Scamorza (native to southern Italy) Cheese, Pinto Beans, Salsa, Guacamole and Pico de Gallo and last but not least local beef. #supportlocal Pros: • The cheese was stringy. • It served it 's purpose in terms of a belly filler before a flight back to the land of the brave free (Ireland). Cons: • The beef was not the usual stringy pulled beef I 'm used to in burritos. It was more like mince and at times it felt like a burger in a tortilla wrap. I now see why it 's called 'Luigi 's Burgers Burritos '. It seems for Luigi, Burger is King. • Also, there was no real sauce in it. There was a hint of lemon which I feel the rice had been soaked in. I didn 't think it would be spicy, however there were no table condiments to add to it myself to kick things up a gear. • Lastly, some ingredients were lacking namely the guacamole. Sub par burrito makers always seem to scrimp on the gauc (porco dio). Verdict: Overall I 'd give it a 6 out of 10. It was a decent sized burrito and good enough value for money at €8.50. The lack of ability to add a kick to the burrito due to the lack of table condiments definitely brought it down a peg or 2. Closing thoughts: Luigi should stick to what he 's best at, fixing bust pipes with his brother (Mario) and flippin ' Burgers...leave the Burritos to the Professionals"

"Me and my girlfriend stayed in Pisa for 5 nights and visited on the first night we landed as it was close to the hotel and had good reviews. Our first visit was normal, the restaurant is an all you can eat for 25 euros per person and you're given a small ordering sheet that write the number of the item on and the quantity you'd like, you then press a button on the table and a member of staff will come and collect your order and bring back the sheet for you to order more. our second visit was not the same, we went on our last night as we'd had a long day and wanted something close by and the food is decent. we sat down made our first order and before we had finished everything a member of staff came over to take away the empty plates or at least that's what I thought. we still had some food left on a couple plates and some were empty but he took all the plates and our side plates and utensils without even asking if we were finished. we gave him the benefit of the doubt snd thought he had just made a mistake so ordered a couple more items and pressed the button and waited 10 minutes after nobody came over I reluctantly pressed the button again (I am a chef and understand that sometimes it can get busy in a restaurant and things happen but we were one of only a few tables inside and it was a Tuesday night at 8:30 . Again we waited 10 minutes without anyone even looking over in our direction and so I pressed the button again (thinking technology sometimes messes up after another 15 minutes of waiting a member of staff came over and took the order sheet which had 2 items on one of them being ice cream as my girlfriend was finished however I was still eating. The ice cream came. followed by my sushi but the order sheet never came back and now we had the feeling we weren't wanted which was strange to us as on our first visit we even tipped 15 euros which we were told is something that is not common in Italy. After we had both finished we wanted to leave as I was starting to get irritated (Members of staff also stared at my partner a lot which is something we experienced a lot on this trip, she is mixed race and I didn't want to believe the propaganda that this happens in Italy but after experiencing it myself it can't be ignored. I went to pay the bill at the front desk and waited another 10 minutes for someone to arrive, paid 59.50 for the two of us and 2 cans of coke and as we didn't eat too much I thought this would please them overall because all in all we probably didn't get our moneys worth. I waited for the change this time as I didn't want to leave a tip and was asked if I wanted coffee to which I said no because I saw our order sheet sat at the front desk and was becoming more frustrated. we left and I don't think we will be coming back if we visit again, the food is okay and just okay and for the price of 25 euros its not there cheapest of places. we had better meals for better prices and better service both in Florence and lucca which I highly recommend visiting."
