"we were gifted a afternoon tea for 2 ,one word ABYSMAL,it was a **** disgrace to even suggest what we were given even covered half the cost,as for the picture they advertise on the front of the building showing a afternoon tea spread needs reporting to trading standards,it was nothing like it ,certain parts of the picture were blown up to make out that the cakes were alot bigger than they were,no atmosphere,dirty table,no table clothes,no music, nothing,and this was supposed to be a christmas tea,nothing at all to even suggest it was christmas,my wife even had to go and find someone to refill our coffee cups,if any of you want to waste your money on this christmas tea feel free,ive told the experience we received,never ever again,dobbies you need to hang your heads in shame,YOU ARE BLANTENT RIP OFF MERCHANTS!!!"

"After a long day of traveling, we were too tired to think about cooking, but we wanted something comforting that reminded us of home. So, what better way to end our vacation than by picking up some upscale fish and chips from The Beehive? I ordered the sausage while my partner chose the monkfish, and it did not disappoint! The portion sizes were impressive, and the chips were delicious, paired with the best curry sauce we've ever tasted! Well done, Youngs! We will definitely be back!"

"Thought it would be nice for a few of the mums from school to go for a lunch during the holidays and had heard that The Golden Pheasant had a large play area for the children. of us seemed to overhelm the kitchens capacity and what they turned out can only be described as disgraceful. The service was slow and the young girl that served us was positively mardy. I think she was hung over! The drinks seemed expensive for a small glass of house Shiraz? The food was ok in part but two of us had chicken that wasn't cooked through properly I thought. Generally we won't be in a rush to go back to the pub that the children thought "smelled funny"."

"We hadn’t been to the White Hart for a long time , saw they were doing New Years Eve menu which was an amazing menu , and the price was so good Started with pheasant in an amazing sauce , main course was cannon of lamb with another brilliant melody of veg and sauce, what I loved about the menu not the usual menu lots of thought had gone into it lots of brilliant tastes .! My dessert was pouched pear in pear sorbet again brilliant. The White Hart has a new chef can’t wait to go again in February, as they are closed now for Refurbishment."

"I enjoyed visiting here what will probably be the first of many! regardless of the friendly welcome and brilliant service, the vegan menu is huge and full of variety. we have talked to our server that is vegan and has influenced the cook that has picked up the challenge of converting and shaping vegan versions of their authentic dishes. we had to start the common vegan cutlery plate, with full and tasteful sweet mais, roasted flower cabbage, mushrooms, paprika and wobble, as well as a lush extra that we think was soy bites. whatever it was, it was more! everyone was beautifully spiced while he was still true what they were. I feed on vegan options that 'deeply rides everything' so this was a refreshing change! for my first I enjoyed the soy-kema mutta with a tandoor frotti, again delicious! my friend had a non- vegan option and was equally impressed, but he regretted that he did not try anything from the vegan menu as it looked so good. if they are looking for an authentic Indian without going to the city, this place fits perfectly to the bill! highly recommended."

"This newly opened restaurant is nothing short of awesome. The food is very very nice. Nobody need be scared off by the vegan menu. The southern fried Seitan (wheat protein) is far nicer than any chicken I've ever eaten. Not least because it is wonderfully crispy and seasoned brilliantly. The chips are gorgeous as well and the pasta dish my wife had was just as awesome. Nice beer, excellent wine, friendly people, what is not to like. Looking forward to trying the rest of the menu. Wonderful philosophic beer glasses with half full written above the half pint line and half empty below. We neither of us left empty!"

"The food itself was very nice but the customer service is awful. One member of staff was repeatedly rude in that she kept thinking we were going to open a bottle of unopened Prosecco that had been gifted to us from a previous bar. Three days later that bottle is still unopened in my kitchen but this waitress could not accept that we did not want to open it in the restaurant and was terribly rude to members of my staff. She also tried to take food away while people were clearly still eating and was basically rushing us out! When we complained about not being happy with her attitude the manager really did not care but despite this we left a good tip that I gave to a waitress that was very good to us and as I’m giving her the money and our feedback, the manager comes over mid-conversation and says nothing but snatches the money out of her hand and walks off… I’ve never seen anything like it. We won’t be coming back purely because of those two members of staff."

"For a Chinese Takeaway, there is no complaints to be made, the food is tasty, filling and affordable, personally I prefer their £5.20 deals. The people are very pleasent and clearly a family run buisness, as often their child will be playing either side of the counter. Did not give 5 star however because I do live near by and I know the backstreets behind the take away is shared ammoungst the other take aways and the conditions are not great. I am sure the owners keep their kitchen clean, as it is clear they do put effort into their takeaway and it never looks messy. Just slightly worried about surrounding takeaway's messes."

"Superb place to stay (here three nights with family husband and 4 yr old) . Breakfast best ever, anywhere. Evening meals stayed three nights and ate in every night. It is AMAZING to not only have wonderful veggie/vegan choices but that they were all outstanding. All staff we met were friendly, helpful, and kind (to us and 4 yr old). This goes a long way! Decent wifi in room too. And we loved the decor everywhere. Hope we are back in the area in future as would love to come back. Thank you!"

"we have visited this caffe several times for breakfast, lunch and evening drink and it has never failed to impress. the personal is friendly, helpful and attentive, nothing is too much to ask and they are always trying to recommend a good cake! the atmosphere on the day is always cozy and welcoming and the table service creates an intelligent ambiente. eating is excellent. we had everything from poached eggs with smoked salmon to sandwiches to nachos and nibbles. the sandwiches come with a healthy portion salate and cocks that make it a full meal and the breakfast menu is fantastic. the cakes are also to die and made fresh in the house. Evenings on the lightbox can never disappoint. her cocktail menu, with a very seductive 2-4-1 offer at selected times, medium is not to say no to have to offer especially with the huge selection of gin her. the music and entertainment on the evenings is always fantastic - there is nothing else like it in peterborough. overall this is a fantastic place, our favorite in peterborough and would recommend 100%!"

"We're having an argument, my partner is saying the pizza was cooked well........ Tried them on delivery for their huge square party pizza mega massive ting, whatever it's actually called. Top tip whatever you can't eat, stick it in the freezer and when you are ready to eat pizza again, whack your over on full, (you could even brush a bit of olive oil on the crust, it was sparse originally) cook until the cheese looks brown and lovely, and then you have a much more tasty pizza than they served up in the first place. Their first shot at it (in my opinion) was only just cooked, it was positively anaemic, they must have been saving on the gas. Not a great pizza (it was a thickness of the dough thing , but bad pizza either for the price, good quick delivery time by a friendly driver."

"they sat immediately, but wanted to be in our own room and was said we can't sit wherever we like, as they are short personal. that was a Monday night. about other employees had begun to sit shortly after. so that at the end of anyway the place could be taken as the restaurant was also very quiet. the food was ordered and came out as expected, but we needed some changes to our order. tammy chimichanga had a soak that I didn't want, and the kitschige tortillabrot came very crispy and burned. the total quality of the food was not great and had to ask if articles should be removed from the bill, as did not want to wait for another dish while my friend had already begun her meal. they insisted on getting me another dish, but I was not willing to wait the extra time if it should come first properly. I came out to eat at the same time as my friend did not eat at different times. we sat near the kitchen and everything we could hear was that they played their own music there. a blonde waitress stood in the same position for a good min.- half an hour not really do something."

"We actually went for dinner on the Saturday and lunch on Sunday. The service delivered by Hannah, on Saturday, and the young lady with three dyed parts in her hair, on Sunday, was efficient, friendly and a pleasure to experience. We found that there were more staff available since the refurb and the menu was more interesting. The children’s menu was far better than it used to be. Our food was also nice and the atmosphere was not deafening as in other restaurants where you cannot hear yourself think. An ask from us would be more healthy salads as mains please and some fish options that are not fried. The dishes have quite high calorie counts. Thank you!"

"Busy restaurant with great fresh tasting food. It's nice to visit somewhere where the spices can actually be tasted in the dishes. There's room for improvement in the starters as my sheek kebab and the paneer tikka came without any caramelised onions. They were ok but could have been amazing. "I have been a regular to this Loch Fyne location for the past five years. Recently I took some business colleagues there for lucnh on a weekday. As usual the staff were efficient and sat us at our table. We ordered our starters, main courses and drinks and engaged in some chat.However, the problems started when some of the starters did not arrive quite as decsribed on the menu. For instance the pate was to be served with oatcakes, but came with hunks of bread instead. Not being a major thing, we awaited the main course.The plaice I ordered looked great with the skin still on, but the flesh was overcooked and was soggy. I have never experienced soggy fish before and this was being served at a fish reataurant! A colleague had crab and was satisfied with his choice, but another was disappointed with the bass he ordered.I will still give the Loch Fyne another chance, but I think I will stick to going there in the evenings."

"My wife and I had lunch here on Saturday, and we were very impressed. The restaurant boasts a beautifully designed interior with cozy seating, and plenty of outdoor options as well. We decided to try one of the specials, and we were blown away by both the quality of the food and its stunning presentation. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, guiding us in our dessert choices to help avoid allergens. The only downside was the limited parking lot, but I understand that’s often out of anyone's control. We will definitely be returning with family and friends, and I highly recommend this place to others!"

"Stopped off at the blue boar on way home from work late on a Tuesday evening ,walked through the door to be greeted by a lovely young lady with a big smile behind the bar and some rather friendly regulars at the bar , ordered a beer which I have to be honest was in pristine condition and tasted delicious. The menu on offer was home cooked bar style , the usual favourites such as ham egg and chips ,pies and scampi , all seemed very well priced , I opted for the steak and ale pie with mash and peas and was not disappointed .It was even served to me by the chef in person , a fab lady named Angie who had a smile to brighten anyone’s day!!!. So often these days the village local gets slated for not trying hard enough to please everyone , but for the blue boar I believe it’s an excellent pub with quality beer ,food and staff, and I for one wouldn’t hesitate to trot off there again"

"The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and the food was excellent. The speck cheeseburger is a standout! The portion sizes were generous, providing great value for the money. The only reason I gave four stars instead of five is that one member of our party had to change their meal option twice because they were out of two items they initially ordered—no mixed grill and no fish. Other than that, we had a lovely evening meal. Many thanks to the staff for efficiently clearing empty plates, etc. I would gladly return!"
