"Today I had Sunday lunch at The Golden Lion. I had the Lamb and it was absolutely delicious. The meat was cooked to perfection and the meal was just the right portion size. The Roast potatoes and Yorkshire Pudding were mouth wateringly good. You're also given broccoli, green beans and red cabbage which were the perfect accompaniment to the meal. I was with family members who said that their beef was delicious as well. I had the Sunday lunch when The Golden Lion started doing them and they were nice then but now they are fabulous and I highly recommend that you try them. I would also add that the service from the friendly staff is second to none. Nothing is too much trouble. Well done Golden Lion. Will be back soon."

"The coffee and fruit cake we had was nice but very expensive. Went in for a coffee and saw the cakes which looked very nice but No prices displayed! The prices were on the menu but just said cakes £2.60 to £4.20so you didn’t know which cakes were the most expensive. In all the coffee and cake for 2 came to£15.20!! very expensive!! Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3"
