"had such a nice dinner today. that was nice to eat. the plates are quite large, we have ordered too much food for two people, but it was easy to do as it was so m a ny dinge that we wanted to try. started with the tzatziki and hummus with green harrisa. Both were great, the hummus was so light. the pitta we had to accompany them was soft and padded. for the main was the chicken sawarma so good, amazingly spicy. the pork souvlaki was tender and melting, but not entirely up to the taste standard of the chicken. strong aromen, the veg was light and had a bit of a bit of a bit of a bit as it should be. the Goan Seabass fry was amazing. my friend is really not in fish, but even she enjoyed it. such an excellent crust, no soggyness and the accompaniment of the sauce was excellent. we received the aubergine with falafel accidentally, instead of the aubergine and lamb we had ordered. we had not noticed one of the employees had seen and came by to apologize and offer to float. we went back and I am glad the falafel was excellent. my only light weight (and I use this word very easily) was that the halloumi we ordered should come with baba ganoush, an salat and tomaten harrisa. what we got was halloumi, red pfeffer sauce ad mushroom. I hate mushrooms so much! also love baba ganoush and was a little sad not to have. the sauce and the cheese were excellent and my friend loves mushrooms. she also said that they were some of the best mushrooms she ever had. So, we didn't say anything the personal was great, friendly and very attentive. we had a great night and will definitely be back"

"This restaurant boasts beautiful views of Whitley bay sea front. I had high expectations from reading reviews and looking through photos. For starter I had the soup which was described as having mussels scallops and prawns. Now this must be a typo because what was served can only be described as tinned soup with one tiny prawn, one tiny mussel and I couldn’t find any scallops until the last few spoon fulls but I kid you not it was the tiniest scallop know to man kind! So disappointing. The starter is normally my favourite part of a meal but not today. It was almost as if the chef was playing a joke on me. The lack of seafood was laughable and frankly embarrassing. I’d probably take the dish off the menu or at least describe it correctly to avoid others from being disappointed. I understand that seafood is expensive I would sooner pay a supplement on the set menu than serve one sad mussel, scallop and prawn. On a separate note the one mussel I had was overly fishy and tasted a little sour. It was rancid, I hope I’m not ill tomorrow. Not a great start 1910! My partner ordered a twice baked cheddar soufflé which was divine! We both opted for the confit shoulder of lamb roast dinner. 10 out of 10! The meat was delicious and tender, the potatoes were creamy and seasoned well. The gravy was the show stopper. It was rich with depth of flavour that filled my mouth with joy and the cauliflower cheese was one of the best I’ve tasted. Service was standard. Will I go back? Definitely to order the soufflé and the lamb, This restaurant describes its self as a steak and seafood restaurant and from my experience the seafood side leaves a lot to be desired."
