"This is a lovely place with a great atmosphere and attractive building. The style is nice, and there are various options for dining in the pub or the dining room, along with a good selection of drinks. However, the food was rather mediocre. The starters—calamari and halloumi—were clearly frozen and fried, lacking in quality. The chips were served cold and unappetizing, though they were replaced upon request. Is it really that difficult to get chips right in a fish and chip restaurant? The mussels were fairly good and were advertised as local, so hopefully they were. Perhaps my expectations were set too high, as I was hoping for better quality food. On a positive note, the service was friendly."
