"If you want to experience how a restaurant exploits its location, eat at the Gusto Premiere. If you want to enjoy decent food at an appropriate price, then don’t. We had lunch there because it was 12 noon and most other restaurants in that part of town open only at 12:30. And also because it looked quite nice, not only from the outside but also inside the Roman murals on the arched ceiling make an interesting contrast to the modern interior. Too bad the food didn’t match that standard. After enjoying a serious breakfast at the hotel we had room only for some pasta. My wife opted for spaghetti vongole (16€ . She loves fish and seafood when it’s prepared with some imagination; this one wasn’t, at least if you don’t find a load of raw, thick zucchini strips imaginative. It tasted as if the clams had just been boiled in water and put on the plate, no trace of any aroma, not even garlic. Actually, quite a shame if you look at the restaurant’s name. I followed the waiter’s recommendation and ordered passatelli (14€ , a local pasta made from breadcrumbs and parmesan. I envy the region for many a specialty, especially for those from the ham and cheese department, but not for this one. But, in case this dish is not supposed to taste that bland, my apologies to all other passatelli makers. As you can see, the boring pasta wasn’t actually a bargain. Value for money became even worse by a cheeky coperto charge of 4€ each. That’s why it’s not surprising that we were the only guests throughout the whole lunch – people who know the place seem to give it a wide berth."

"It's the second time I go to this particular farm. is located at the gates of modena, on the east emilia. is not at all signaled, if not for a tubular light on the edge of the gate from which you enter. so it is oblivion to be explained well how to get there. the environment is extremely informal, so much so that it really seems to be at the house of friends. the owner of the place is a singular, self-ironic and extremely pleasant person, as well as his right arm, a gentleman over 65 years, who helps him in the management of the farm. the environment is rustic: in fact the place is located in an old country house, with vintage photos and furnishings typical of the ancient Modena country houses. breathe tradition in this place. I feel like I'm a child when I went to the country to find my mother's uncles. the most curious thing about me is how the wine is necessary: from an aluminum bucket, pour it in glass jugs. remains a bit surprised, but it is the beauty of the place. the menu is at a fixed price and at the moment it is 35,00 € per person. as often happens in farms, the dishes are equal to all, that is, it is not possible to choose. but quiet, you eat so much and well that it does not generate any problem. start from the appetizers (more than one) to two first (lasagna optimistic to the pores), a second (there was a stew with potatoes, onions and apples), sweets, coffee and bitter. I mean, there's nothing missing. to redeem all a romantic pinch, candles on each table. clearly, it is welcome to book."
