"first, ignore the “Fake News” review under this, it is clearly structured. I've been here for years and it's our favorite Thai restaurant in kent. the owner is thai and the chef chef is thai, only the freshest local ingredients cooked with...every dish to order. our favorite beginners are the marinated grilled garne, salt and chili-squid and vomiting. that is also the only Thai restaurant I know that offers halloumi as an alternative to traditional chickens, garnels and bark cures. the location is located in the heart of the old town, the reception always warm and friendly from the owner bow and it is really authentic Thai cuisine best. there is a complete and comprehensive drink list that comes from the pub below, meaning that they have access to the whole series of beers, weeping and spirituous, all served from the restaurant to their table. carlsberg do not Thai restaurants, but if they did, this would be the best Thai restaurant in the world....probably!"

"I was thinking about my wife and my kids and two old friends. the place was full, but for a table that just took us all, but the dame waitress had nothing of it. surprisingly and not helpful is generous to them. I stopped, however, and ordered a final order. it took one because, but the pizza was good and had gluten-free and vegan options that were both good. beautiful place, gothic over the service."

"We were a large group our orders were incorrect, one pizza was completely forgotten and despite asking we just kept being told it’s coming but as though we were an inconvenience. Pizza was just handed over with no apology and our friend just had...to sit and eat when everyone else had finished, we weren’t offered anymore drinks and we had to ask for the missing pizza to be removed. Someone came to collect a takeaway which was incorrect also and we overheard the manager blaming our large group for it causing issues despite the fact we had booked the table months before. If we had just had an apology, or even had someone come and ask us if we would like anything else it would have made a a huge difference. Even as we left, the manager was next to the door and there wasn’t even a “bye” or “thank you” considering what we had just spent. All the staff looked so stressed and miserable we just wanted to leave. It’s a shame as when we got the pizza it was delicious!"

"Mama Jinny Thai Kitchen is Thai comfort food at its finest. Eating here was definitely one of the best decisions we made while we were in Margate. The place was clean and well-lit. The decor transported us to Thailand. : It 's about five minutes walk from Margate Main Sands. The staff were friendly and attentive. They also reminded me of family-owned restaurants back at home where you can just feel so comfortable. The food was just absolutely wonderful. They did not skimp on the ingredients. Our Tom Yum seafood soup was full of yummy seafood and mushrooms. The Pork Pad Khing was also very tasty and the vegetables were cooked perfectly and not soggy at all. We also had mango with sticky rice for dessert. Now this dessert is a definite must-try in any Thai restaurant, especially at Mama Jinny. It was just so delectable. It was not overly sweet. Just the perfect way to end the meal. The only thing I was disappointed about was that I got too full too soon... I wanted to eat more and to try their other dishes. The price is reasonable for the quality of the food. This is now in our 'Must Eat Here list ' when in Margate"

"a unique menu, kreatiw and tasty. our prestarter was tender and cloged our taste buds. I had a common seafood platter, the soft bowl crab, a spiced crabcake and deep roasted all locally with piquant and tasteful sides. my main thing of the pork bell with a pork curry sauce and rice was also juicy, had taste and seasoning levels with crispy skin on the side. English wee were a good guide, especially the house knows and I look forward to a return visit, maybe to try their tasting menu."

"Food was delicious and such a lovely location- I really wanted to like this place as it had been recommended. But the service was poor and I thought it was expensive for what it was- £16 for a small plate of eel in sauce, there was so much sauce but when we asked for bread we were told the beans were there to soak the sauce up! (Good luck with that task, beans! So we paid extra for some bread and were made to feel stupid for doing this by the slightly up-themselves staff."

"Had a table with a view of an amazing sunset over Margate harbour arm. Not much ambiance in the restaurant as only 2 tables were occupied. Our waiter was very obliging and patient. Starters were tasty. My mains rack of lamb was perfectly cooked as the chef really listened to how I wanted it cooked. My husbands baked aubergines were under cooked unfortunately. Desserts were delicious. Strange that there was no fish on the menu, and the wine list was quite limited. However, will definitely return and will recommend to friends."

"I've been to Dhaka, Bangladesh when I got married and I came to this restaurant with my husband to celebrate our wedding anniversary and to have some Bangladeshi style food as we have been missing it since our honeymoon. We were very happy that the food tasted like homemade, without excessive oil as sometimes happens in other restaurants. The vegetable Akhni rice (byriani) and the mushroom bhajee were amazing! Despite not explicit in the menu with the help of of waiter we found plenty of vegan friendly choices to choose from. The restaurant is very clean, tidy and pretty. The staff was very nice, helpful and friendly and we had very interesting conversations."

"We’ve been here a few times and want this place to do well. Our first visit they had ran out of a starter and second visit they ran out of our wine choice. Ordered a £18 fish dish and it came with croquets with meat. My partner is a pescatarian and asked for a substitute. Request granted but the meat croquets still arrived. These were taken away but he had to wait ages for the replacement and by this time he’d finished his fish. If he’d waited his fish would have been cold. There wasn’t really an apology or any recognition of the obvious. They should have brought the meal as a whole. One waitress was lovely whilst the other really surly. It was only when mentioned did they take off a small amount from the bill. £15 for a piece of fish is too much for that type of service. It feels like its all a bit too much for this new team. I hope not as the high streets need independents."
