"how beautiful it was in Mannheim a few months ago. Whether Saturday or Sundays, we always returned to Vienna, the student pub in Mannheim. From the speakers came Hatebreed and Metallica, the mood super. Here is a small section of my last review (which is now 8 months ago): My accompaniment chose the Cheeseburger (3,80 , this was very good, the Pommes today super crispy and very well salted. The highlight today of the pork roast: 3 thick slices of juicy roasts, there was a dark onion sauce that had a slightly acidic touch. There were 2 self-made semmelknödel. They were wonderful, fluffy and excellently tasted. As a conclusion, I still enjoyed the sweet crepe with filling. Two large crepes with nougat filling, with chocolate sauce for 2 euros. Yesterday we went again like this, we made a Sunday afternoon shop window bumblebees and moved through the city, we looked briefly at the day recommendation card at the Cafe Journal at the market square Bratwürste vom Wildschwein mit Riesling Sauerkraut und Pastinaken Püree I would now also eat, I thought. After two minutes, my wife said she wanted a 2 Euro crepe from Vienna. So we go straight to S squares and to Vienna. We inside, we realized that only a quarter of the places were occupied, on the recommended daily signs there was nothing, even on the vegetarian/vegan shield no daily offer. From the speakers came Pop(!!!!! Music. We went through the menu, we noticed the changed prices. The curry sausage, formerly 3,80, now costs 5,20. The hacker Pschorr 0.5 instead of 2,50 now 3,00 Euro. This is still to be represented, but when we saw the most extreme upwardly screwed price for desserts, we carefully ordered the crepe with nougat filling and chocolate sauce, I chose a yeast bee, my wife her milk coffee and a large maracujas choir. When the somewhat scattered operation served us the crepe, we looked at them both appalled. Is something wrong? their words tell us, I meant. I made them aware that in recent years the crepes always consisted of 2 rolled crepes, here it was perhaps a half or a small crepe. It's impossible to share. She walked away and left us the crepe, although we didn't want it. So I went to the counter and asked again. You have a new cook, but not only that, you also had to increase prices. But why it wasn't in the map, we didn't know anything about the services. By the way, the price of the Crepe went from 2 euros, 3 weeks ago to 2.50, we are now at 3.80. This is almost a price increase of 90 within a few weeks. It's not ashamed. If we still expect the size to come to good 300 price increases ... I can only shake the head .... Therefore, the almost completely empty guest room, you can't do that with the Mannheimers, the most responsive to such price increases ...... Conclusion: With increased prices and smaller portions, the owners probably try to leave the future guests in front of the restaurant. They already convinced us."

Roma

Roma

Rheinaustraße 4, 68163 Mannheim, Deutschland, Germany

Wein • Fisch • Pasta • Pizza

Katik Mannheim

Katik Mannheim

Kaiserring 40 | zwischen Wasserturm und Tattersaal, 68161 Mannheim, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany

Döner • Snack  • Sandwich • Türkisch

"Yesterday we were in the Katik Döner, which is somewhat different from other Döner shops in Mannheim. The reviews of google, are very good, reason enough for the long lasting in the Katik to come back and see a little better on the fingers. First impression, inside everything looks clean at first glance, the interior decor held in red white. Hot, white walls and benches covered with red artificial leather. On the left side of the counter is a 2.50 meter refrigerator with soft drinks and this Turkish milk drink. Alcohol is not given, no, obviously not because of religion, but because one wants to contribute to children and youth protection. For me, children under 7 years of age are not entitled to buy something in Germany. I ordered a catech with veal, just like my colleague, he also takes the menu that brings a savings of 50 cents to the individual purchase. Payment is made at the counter, the bowl is placed after preparation (one can also provide). The first bite of Katik was promising. Very good veal taste, delicious little. But the meat taste was very fast. For half time, I only tasted vegetables, but in combination with the Döner Eipfannkuchen not bad. Good: The various sauces are homemade and free from dyes, preservatives or other additives. Not good: meat is Halal certified, i.e. for the animal is a foreign word without stress. I'm not a friend of killing an animal without anesthesia and with full consciousness. Also not good: We sell fresh diner meat every day and use nothing from the day before is actually self-evident and not worth a name. Unless there are localities in Mannheim that do this? Conclusion: Just because of the Halal history for me a single visit I did not know that before, only now pushed through research on the Internet. Otherwise, the taste was very good, precisely because of the self-made bread bottle, which reminds very much of the German egg pancakes."

Kyoto Sushi Bar

Kyoto Sushi Bar

P 4 4-6, 68161 Mannheim, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany

Sushi • Japanisch • Asiatisch • Vegetarier

"It's a nice, small and very modern restaurant right in the city center. The main concept is the circle in the middle of the restaurant where fresh Sushi (on small plates) floods in front of the guests on small boats who rotate around the circle. The chefs in the middle of the circle keep preparing new small plates with various small dishes. But you can also order from the menu at any time. Of course the quality of the food (mainly fish) in a Japanese restaurant is key, and as much as I can judge: there is nothing to complain about at Kyoto Sushi. Everything looks very fresh and is prepared with attention to detail. I really like the menu, though there doesn't seem to be hot/cooked dishes. The chefs who work in the center of the restaurant's "circle" are very friendly and most of the time attentive. My only complain is about the young waitress: she forgot to bring hot towels, or a complimentary dish, we always had to ask for more drinks or to bring the menu again. Overall it felt like she didn't like to serve the guests, at least not at this evening. At our second visit (Saturday night at 8PM) the restaurant was surprisingly empty (only 6 other couples) and the restaurant's owner started to clean the whole counter and the bar stools already at 9PM. There were two other couples sitting around the bar, and we actually started to wonder whether this was a hint to leave. It's hard to enjoy your dinner in this kind of atmosphere. Overall the owner just didn't come across even remotely interested in his guests. Price: Well, Sushi is never low-budget food. We were quite hungry, started with two soups and had at least 7 or 8 small dishes, plus a bottle of water, 1 hot Sake and two Japanese beer: about 72.00 Euro. In comparison to the restaurant Tokyo Sushi (just 200 m around the corner) Kyoto Sushi is by far less hectic and noisy, which I definitely prefer in order to enjoy dinner. However, as much as I like the food, I'm not sure whether I will give Kyoto Sushi another try."

Cafe Und Pizzeria Adria

Cafe Und Pizzeria Adria

Lange Rötterstraße 1, 68167 Mannheim, Deutschland, Germany

Pizza • Kaffee • Frühstück • Italienisch

"the adria at the old messplatz scores above all atmospheric by bringing together as a central starting point of the teasing city eastwards of all possible provenances. that is good and important and makes a city quarter worth living, and that certainly contributes to the popularity that adria enjoys among gguides. that doesn't play any role when you get some pizzas to the house to get back to work on a move in between. then it really only comes to eat, and so a special votum was inevitable. the pizzas are uncompetitively cheap there (most around the 6 euro, some clearly below but even that they were hardly worth it. my uniform greyish-brown, taste-neutral, gummy seafood originated from one of these containers, which the relevant wholesale trade provides for chefs who have hung their profession to the nail. They were embedded in large amounts of a fat, cheese-like substance that cured in the run of consumption to a tough mass, similar to the kitt with which the windows were sealed at my jugend time, and which, as I had to find painfully on the following day, would concrete the digestive tract over long stretch. (it would not surprise me if at the coming year still petriated rests were found in the coming year, and that was not because between production and consumption, much time would have passed – the apartment of my moving daughter was right around the corner, two minutes away. Woman and daughter (the one had something with anchovy, the other vegetarian it went a little better by not having to fight with seafood or with constipation, perhaps because they had not eaten their pizza. I already (then the second point, but they had less to drag than I did. it's okay, when you're like this, you can't put too high demands, but you can't sink as a pizza baker."
