"Das Restaurant punktet ohne Frage durch seine außergewöhnliche Lage! Fantastischer Rundumblick auf den Luganer See, weil es sich an der Spitze einer kleinen Landzunge befindet.Das war es dann aber auch leider schon mit begeisternden Aus und Einblicken.Eine gelangweilte Bedienung, 2 Krabbencocktails, die in Mayonnaise praktisch ertrunken sind, 2 Pizzen, die gschmacklich eigentlich nur von der darauf befindlichen Chorizowurst gelebt haben, 1 kleiner gemischter Salat und eine Flasche Wasser für 130 CHF stellen leider kein tragfähiges Preis Lestungsverhältnis dar. Man bezahlt definitiv die Location das sollte man wissen und das sollte es einem dann auch Wert sein.Was aber u.E. gar nicht geht, ist die Tatsache, dass bei der Zahlung mit der Kreditkarte OHNE zu fragen, automatisch die Umrechnung in Euro abgerechnet wird! Anschließend darauf angesprochen, erhielten wir diese Antwort ohne Schuldbewußtsein: Das macht die Maschine automatisch . Das ist natürlich ziemlich dreister Unsinn, denn die Einstellung muss manuell vorgenommen werden und vor Allem, der Kunde MUSS dem vorher zugestimmt haben, scheint hier aber wohl bei europäischen (vor Allem deutschen) Ausländern üblich zu sein. Daher die warnende Überschrift. Auf diese Art und Weise werden nicht unerhebliche zusätzliche Wechsel und Bearbeitungs gebühren automatisch eingetrieben."

"We dined at Badalucci our second night in Lugano, and were incredibly impressed by the personable friendly service, outstanding food, and tranquil atmosphere. The amuse bouche trio to start was fabulous there was a multitude of flavors packed into a each tiny bite! The standout had to be the small tomato sphere which was covered in a crystallized sugar. The bread service was delicious and had something for everyone, whether it was a classic crusty baguette or a blackened brioche roll. My langoustine appetizer was light, fresh, and flavorful. No complaints! Myself and my parents all opted for the special of the night for our main, which was blue lobster from the Mediterranean sea accompanied with homemade pasta in a word, phenomenal. The lobster was perfectly sweet, the pasta was cooked to perfection (al denté and the flavor from the sauce was spectacular. Accompanied with the delicious food was the incredibly kind service! The staff emulated the perfect balance between checking in and giving us space, and were overall lovely. Another highlight was the jugs that the restaurant used for water, they were truly pieces of art! If you decide to go to only one fine dining/ Michelin restaurant in Lugano, I would recommend Badalucci above all others!"

"A completely out-of-the-scenes evening! sin because we have been there several times and food is great with ingredients of first choice. but in a restaurant it is not enough... "War sehr positiv von dem Teller Tagliatelle ai Porcini überrascht. Sehr gut abgeschmeckt, so das die Porcini geschmacklich gut mundeten. Normalerweise sind solche Turirestaurants nicht das gelbe vom Ei. Meine Kids hatten Schnitzel Pommes, ihnen hat es auch geschmeckt. Freundliches Personal."

"Ho ordinato una diavola e mascarpone e una crudo a domicilio pagando 37 franchi. Pizza molta buona nell'impasto e ben condita oltre che economica, peccato che la diavola fosse completamente bruciata/carbonizzata con il carbone praticamente nero nella parte inferiore della diavola e dunque immangiabile. Piuttosto che consegnare una pizza in quel modo consiglio e invito la prossima volta di rifarla per evitare brutte figure"

"We had a dinner in this restaurant. The owner was very friendly and the service was ok. We took a mixed Greek appetizer: the taste was good but the price was too much compared to the quantity. The main dish was a Mexican choice. The presentation of the dish with 5 sauces was very good and also the taste. I suggest to not take the starter but to chose only one of the main dishes."

"Nachdem wir in der Nebensaison das erste Mal hier verwöhnt wurden, waren wir diesmal zur besten Mittwochs Lunchtime hier. Laden und Terrasse waren voll aber trotzdem war der Service lieb und hat uns nichtitalienisch Sprechenden alle Fragen beantwortet und Wünsche erfüllt. Leider waren Panini und Pasta schneller verdrückt, als dass wir hätten Fotos machen können. Unbedingt den weissen Merlot aus dem Tessin bestellen!"

"I was often in this restaurant as there is often a lot of vegan options, clearly indicated on the menu. So maybe I would have given them four stars. but now. since they are in the new position (on the hills, impossible without reaching car) they also have their menu...no clearer labeled vegan options, no vegan burgers...ke more French pommes. I found two ways to read and ask all the ingredients to be safe. vegans are probably no longer welcome. Previously it was the best vegan restaurant in lugano. last time for me."

Il solito tartare di gamberi di Mazara del Vallo.. niente di speciale, e un tagliere di salumi, buono.I secondi, due piatti di pasta. Un raviolo ripieno ed una pasta con salsa di capriolo. Immangiabili!! Letteralmente e senza, ma,.. intrisi di esaltatori di gusto? Sapevano di detersivo x piatti. Chiamato il cameriere mi ha sostituito il piatto con una tagliata, mentre mia moglie non ha voluto nulla, anzi ha quasi terminato il piatto perché per carattere si vergogna nel lamentarsi. Il mio piatto di pasta non è stato conteggiato, anche se aspetto ancora adesso il proprietario che venisse a commentare il piatto, come mi era stato comunicato dal cameriere. Per inciso non è entrato più in sala come fa d 'abitudine) fino alla nostra partenza.Deluso perché desideravo fare bella figura con mia moglie, mentre è stata una cena senza soddisfazione e che non ricorderò. Avendo sborsato quasi 200 franchi desidero, voglio, ambisco all 'esperienza . Non mi cambia nulla il mancato conteggio di un piatto.."

"Sono stato in questo locale per una cena con degli amici. L’accoglienza non è il piatto forte e la padrona si è mostrata fin da subito molto scontrosa. Non esiste un menù ma la signora lo racconta a voce con aria scocciata e mischiando antipasti con primi e secondi. Lista dei vini scritta a mano con prezzi esorbitanti pur essendo essendo consapevoli di essere in Svizzera 50 CHF per una bottiglia di pessimo merlot . Piatti poveri e mal cucinati e porzioni decisamente esigue. Dopo 40 min arriva l’ antipasto consistente in mezzo carciofo trifolato che navigava nell’ olio e due fette sottilissime di prosciutto. Il piatto pricipale arrivato 1 ora dopo l’ antipasto prevedeva due fettine di brasato quasi trasparenti , 4 ravioli alla barbabietola rossa, 2 bocconcini di capretto e una misera porzione di maltagliati al pomodoro e olive. Nel frattempo la cameriera continuava a versare acqua e vino nei bicchieri. Passiamo ai dolci: due coppe di gelato al cioccolato e un pizzico di vermicelles. Tutto questo per la modica cifra di quasi 70 CHF a testa!!!! Decisamente da evitare."

"I didn’t like Lugano: an inflated bubble, a dummy, a parody of Monte Carlo. Noisy, bustling, full of poor people and Russians from Russia. I won’t write about the little things, I want to write about the last straw: the lie when reserving the “I Due Sud” restaurant with a Michelin star. We called in advance to reserve a table, they made an appointment for Sunday, and warned us about the strict dress code. We dressed up like fools, arrived at the appointed time, and... the restaurant was CLOSED. We thought that the entrance to the restaurant was further away, so we went looking. We came across the Veranda cafe and decided to ask their hostess about our restaurant. And the hostess answers: “What restaurant...Your reservation is with us, at the Veranda cafe.” We were stunned. We did not expect such impudence! Already on the spot, we learned from the cafe employees that the “I Due Sud” restaurant is open only 3 days a week: Thursday, Friday, Saturday. To say that they would be outraged is not enough. We felt humiliated and complete idiots. After a serious conversation with the head waiter of the Veranda cafe, it turned out that employees often do such tricks with reservations in order not to lose customers. But really, what's the difference between eating in a restaurant with a Michelin star or in a cafe? Dear Michelin employees, there is no difference! In general, it was as if we didn’t go to Lugano (Switzerland), but to Antalya (Turkey). Some kind of clownery. "First encounter on the phone was extremely dismissive and rude, she asked me how old I was, thinking I was a child and she said she will not take our order simply because she did not understand what was being said. Had to repeat the address 6 times and even then she did not understand. Simply horrible staff. I do not recommend. *As a 23 year old adult, I am old enough to order alcohol, which we DID NOT even order, we attempted to order fried rice (amongst other things) which we had to repeat 6 times as well as she did not understand what we were saying. We called ONCE and were so rudely dismissed. Clearly no experience or understanding of hospitality if this is the way you reply to customers. Thank you for the tip but as you can imagine there will be no next time."

"Der Service ist noch von alter Schule. Hochprpfessionell. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich.Allerdings ist uns etwas aufgefallen: Es gab da einen Kellner, der sich auch optisch von den anderen unterschied.Meine Frau hat mich bekehrt, dass das der Chef de Service war. Dieser war nicht besonders freundlich. Eher etwas mürrisch. An den Tagen, an denen er gearbeitet hat war die Stimmung beim Personal heher schlecht und weniger professionell. Als er frei hatte waren die Kellnerinnen und Kellner fröhlich und trotzdem hochprofessionell. Währnd seiner Anwesenheit kam es zum Beispiel vor, dass ein Kellner vor dem Gast durchlangt um Wein einzuschenken, was sonst undenkbar war.Seltsam was man alles mitbekommt, wenn man in der Lage ist die Stimmung in einem Raum aufzunehmen.Unter professionell verstehe ich auch, dass sich die relativ teuren Preise nicht nur mit der Qualität des Essens und des Service rechtfertigen, sondern auch genügend Personal vorhgnden ist um Wartezeiten zu vermeiden. Da wir zu Coronazeiten da waren und alle Hotelgäste ausschliesslich hier assen, war das Nachtessen in 2 Schichten. Das heisst um 18:30 kommen alle auf einmal. Trotzdem gab es nie Wartezeiten, das genug Personal da war."

"We have been visiting Grotto Teresa on Saturday evening 19/08/2023. The location is lovely. We were 4 adults and 1 kid. We ordered at around 19.45 one tagliere misto and one burrata con pomodori to share. The main course were 1 costine grigliate , 1 Entrecote di cervo , 2 gnocchi burro e salvia and 2 insalata mista and 1/2 gnocchi burro e salvia for the kid. The appetites arrived relatively soon. tasty. As well as the 1/2 portion gnocchi burro e salvia for the kid arrived soon. Then we asked 1 ice cream ball for the kid. The main arrived at 21.45, after asking for it several times without any explanation. Also, one insalata mista was missing we asked for it but never arrived. the food was ok (3 costine were warm but other 3 very hard and cold. When we reported it the waiter said: Ah well, 3 were soft and warm. We asked for the bill and 2 insalata mista were reported. When we reported it to the cashier, she said, Oh yes, correct we knew that! . Also for the 1 ball ice cream 6.50CHF were charged. When they saw us disgusted, they offered the ice cream and the salad for free. Unlikely we will be there again."

"Terrible. If you are vegetarian and want the lunch menu they will give you rice with vegetables . By vegetables they practically only mean broccoli (and by broccoli they mean the stalk of broccoli, hard and inedible), 2 almost invisible slices of carrots and 2 small pieces of courgettes. All for 13.50 fr? A robbery. 7 different types of meat/fish options, but not even a tofu or protein vegetarian option that justifies the price of the dish. Never again will I come here. If you are looking for vegetarian options on the same price line (but more generous portions) for lunch I recommend Kind Thai in Besso or the new Vietnamese in Molino Nuovo da Sung."
