"I have come here a few times before for breakfast or brunch. I came today after a while and my experience was still very nice. One of the many restaurants located in the The Ned. Malibu Kitchen is hidden at the back and quite small, but has a lovely atmosphere. I normally make a booking but walked in today and it was pretty quiet on a Saturday afternoon which was likely to be because of the weather being warm so everyone was outside! I enjoyed the peace and nice atmosphere. Lovely menu. Not huge but more than a sufficient choice for brunch including eggs, pancakes, taco, poke, juices, smoothies and more. I had the egg white omelette with basil, chive and tarragon. This was really good. Freshly made, well presented, fluffy and healthy! A nice light breakfast. To drink, I had one of the smoothies which was lovely. I will say, portion sizes for some dishes can be small. This was fine for me as I am a tiny eater. Others may find that they want more. Malibu Kitchen is a good place if you want something light and reasonably healthy. Don't expect as another reviewer commented and I agree, food that will blow you away. This is more good food, a safe option. As the name of the restaurant suggests, think California! Lovely atmosphere and on Saturday there is usually live light jazz type music that starts around noon which is great. You can't see the music stage from Malibu Kitchen but you can hear the music. Some of the other restaurants in The Ned have a good view of the stage if you want to be closer to the music. Restaurant is very clean. Malibu Kitchen is more cozy and has a brasserie type feel. You don't need to dress up so much but look neat. Service is good. Staff are pleasant. Small negative is that they can be a little too attentive. It would be nice just to be left to relax. Food comes out quickly once you order. They display calories as well which is helpful. Not too badly priced given location and venue. Would definitely recommend. I would suggest booking as well."

"I owe a lot to Gordon Ramsay. Back in the period around the millennium while the U.K was going mad for Jamie Oliver’s simple dishes and Essex charm, a foul mouthed chef chasing three michelin stars was bringing the focus onto how life as a chef was in the real world. That man grabbed my attention. That man was Gordon Ramsay. Now of course Ramsay is the face of cooking on television sets across America and you have to say fair play to him. Building up a multi million pound empire of restaurants that stretches the breadth of the globe can’t have been easy, likewise attaining the trades ultimate accolade of three stars back in London. Who could begrudge Gordon for yelling at Americans for a large paycheck?Ramsay though isn’t the angry bully that some would have you believe him to be. I watched him do a live demonstration with sous-chef Mark Sargeant at The Good Food Show in Birmingham. Ramsay eclipsed all other chef’s at the venue and turned out to be a fun guy who enjoyed a laugh. His food wasn’t half bad either.Royal Hospital Road is the flagship restaurant of Gordon Ramsay. The very spot where the three star’s were won. Also the scene of the documentaries ‘Boiling Point’ and ‘Beyond Boiling Point’ which featured Ramsay’s pursuit of the top prize in cooking. Both of which are television gold and available to view on Youtube. We made our reservations quite easily online and timed it with my 29th birthday celebrations. Menu’s are all accessible online and due to the restaurant being a three star the chances of a menu changing is slim. All menu’s were priced very fairly for this part of London and looked incredibly inviting.A quick taxi from Sloane Square took us to the restaurant just as the doors were opening. With the Christmas decorations up outside it’s quite a small, intimate place but very stylish. We walked down a long corridor to the cloakroom area where the reservation was confirmed and our coats taken by the friendly staff. The staff then lead us into the dining room which was a lot smaller than I had envisioned.Straight away the familiar face of Maitre D Jean-Claude Breton arrived extending his hand and wishing me a happy birthday. The man oozes charm and class at the same time putting the guest at ease. It became like chatting to an old friend as we discussed France, rugby, football and food."

"first line I still can't believe that I would still dare out of my warm bed at sub-zero weather for a birthday dinner! but yes, it happened. I must finally visit the famous steakhouse. not only that, this is a beautiful glass house. at the arrival we were met by a beautiful door host who brought us from the cold and felt very welcome. we were offered drinks while we were waiting, but we were just too cold. we finally went down to the restaurant area (up is only the bar and after the birthday girl had a garderobe disorder (again, the door host came to retaliation with safety needles much appreciated! the ambiente was nice and cozy and the tables are nicely decorated. our waitress offered to show us the raw cuts, so I said why not win the full experience. my friends were less interested. aha ha. Nevertheless, she gave a great explanation for all cuts and how to have done them best for full pleasure. you can tell me that I'm getting everything in the offer, right? my friends ordered their drinks, a bottle of champagne and cocktails and I asked for a crippled water. it took a while until our drinks came out, and so we asked ourselves that they had run out of passion fruit for the cocktails and had to buy some! well, I never (I usually sweat so when my order lasts too long, but the first time actually experiencing. in ordering our food, we find out that there was no lammage left, so that the birthday girl got half a mais fed chicken instead. I ordered gnocchi and broccoli with roasted mandel and stylton. ribeye steak has also been ordered with chips and mash. there are not many possibilities for vegetarian let alone vegan, but I had expected to have chips and dessert so actually a bonus with gnocchi. the free kesebrot was late because they had to bake it, so we were given maisbrot with butter and chimchurri, followed by hot cheese bread. absolutely delicious! I was really intrigued by maisbrot. our main thing came in good timing and everyone was happy with eating. well, except birthday girl spinat side, which tasted as if it was cooked over, so she brought her a fresh one that was much better. I enjoyed my gnocchi especially because it first tries gnocchi. I smeared it with chimchurri (we went through two pots of the witness! . the broccoli was not over boiled, so was thrilled about it, but I am not a fan of the stylton. the food went well down and we were really filled. After our table was cleaned out, the cake was brought out as we sang according to “happy birthday for you”. our waitress had her moments, but overall she was a joy and very helpful. I can actually say that all employees were big and even with delays in service, it was good with good character and humor compensated. thanks, gaucho. broadgate for the host of the 26th birthday dinner of my dear friend and a cold night to make feel exceptionally warm! I would recommend this gaucho especially for their service and beautiful ambiente."
