"a nice dinner with great service and delicious food. the restaurant had a great mood. the service was very good (although I think the waiters need to be given sections, we had 4 or 5 different waiters all over each other, asking the same thing). the food was delicious, great portions and fresh ingredients. in any case recommend."

"Got pretty bad food poisoning eating here and when I called the restaurant to let them know (also saying that I was in no way shape or form complaining, just giving them a heads up to check their food dates) I was told by management that I was obviously lying and just wanting free stuff from them. The food was lovely but won’t be coming back after this experience."

"Absolutely normally love the wine and wallop and recommend it, however today service was rubbish I ordered a chicken burger at £12 and followed up with does it come with anything g with passing waitress she said no so ordered some triple cooked chips When it arrived I got my burger only and the f (half the burger bun was almost empty) then followed with skinny fries to which I advised I ordered triple cooked chips (that had too much seasoning on) I had to ask for cutlery and remind staff for Mayo. When asking for the bill we waited 15 mins and then decided to go downstairs to pay which our server and 3 others were behind the bar talking no apology etc Have a look at my lonely burger whilst I waited a further 5 10 minutes for my chips. Won’t be eating here again! Price per person: £20–30 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3"

"We visited yesterday morning for breakfast and had a lovely experience. The waitress was on her own and the dining area was quite busy and we wanted to highlight with this review what a wonderful job she was doing working hard to tend to everyone’s needs. It didn’t go unnoticed by us. My friends and I thought she was lovely and went over and above to make sure we had what we needed , space on the table and took away the things we didn’t etc. We had a very relaxed and welcoming experience and thank the waitress for making it so. Highly recommend this pub and will definitely be returning."

"great stay. from the moment in which they are made to go in their to feel very welcome and nothing is too much annoyed, they go beyond and beyond to make their stay as beautiful as possible. the rooms are also excellent, we will return definately. we have only eaten breakfast there, but it was perfect, so no hesitation will have a meal there when we go back."

"A group of us went to this restaurant for lunch and were impressed by the wide selection of food at reasonable prices. The quality of the food was excellent and the portions were generous, especially considering the prices. The service was attentive and friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. "Doing some coach driving at Colshaw Hall, a Christmas event I decided to walk to the closest pub on Google maps and arrived here Lovely little pub, had the beautiful steak and kidney pie chips veg and lots of gravy really really nice, but be aware...they only serve food until 8....very attentive staff too a nice lady who looked after me as I was a bit of a saddo having a romantic meal for one lol....thank you"

"UPDATE the manager spoke to the lady about the cigarette and it turns out it was a fake Halloween one great work by the manager, addressing the issue promptly My sister and I came for lunch and enjoyed some excellent food (my sister had the burger and I had the curry). The waitress was quick and attentive and the atmosphere was lovely the fire was lit and the pub was very cosy. That was until the group of smokers and vapers that were sat outside, made their way inside. The group seemed to be local and familiar to staff. The issue arose in that the staff turned a blind eye to two members of the group: a man who was vaping inside, and then as we were leaving, a female in the group had a two cigarettes in her hand whilst stood at the bar one lit and one unlit (it later emerged the lit one was a fake Halloween cigarette). It would have been impossible for the staff not to notice. I did email management directly to let them know and the general manager themself replied promptly and was alarmed at what had occurred. He promised to deal with the customers and staff in question, he apologised and explained that this was not normal behaviour. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3 Recommended dishes: Aberdeen Angus Burger with Double Cooked Chips, Chicken Curry Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Free parking lot"

"my birthday contract! we wandered around knutsford and decided to try piccolinos for lunch! we had no reservation, but sat immediately, all the staff were friendly and helpful. the menu was filled with many delicious choices and even the children's menu was happy both my fussy child and my adventurous daughter! the food was delicious as the drinks! I can't blame! we will return absolutely! even the furniture was comfortable, we could have stayed all day!"

"Drove over from Liverpool on a Sunday evening for a meal, and I’d honestly consider making it a weekly trip. Restaurant is top class; decoration and adornments minimalist but comfortable and warm inside. The food was decedent. I’ve not had steak in a restaurant for some time but the rump was flavoursome, well cooked and no complaints on quality. Chips were incredible. My partner had the herbed pork fillet which was divine (had to steal some... and the pomme Anna chorizo potatoes were the perfect accompaniment. Service was top drawer- polite, knowledgeable and engaged. Will definitely be back soon."

"We visited a restaurant with a new menu where the staff made sure to get feedback and ensure everything was perfect. They were passionate about their work and it showed in their polite, attentive, and professional service. The pianist added to the ambiance, creating a relaxing atmosphere for our evening. "Had a steak that was very fatty. When told the waiter he said We should not have it rare and that he would never recommend that type of steak rare. Which by the way no one recommended which way it should be cooked when ordered. He said he could get another one but it would be the same. He was very matter of fact and not polite. Everyone had finished by the time it came out and he then proceeded to take everyone's plate away making my daughter feel uncomfortable and as though she was eating alone. When I complained he argued with me. He then got the manager who blamed the waiter's manner on where he came from. Did take the steak off the bill. But now we don't want to go back. It was not a enjoyable experience. We have been there many times and now that has spoilt it for us."

"I booked this visit as a birthday treat for my husband because the menu really appealed ... what a disappointment! The room used was small and so we were right on top of other diners only 3 other tables in use meaning that conversation felt quite uncomfortable. The langoustine and saffron starter had one langoustine which yielded a very small tail there was no other langoustine meat within the rice. The chicken parfait was grainy and accompanied by seriously rock hard 'toasted croutes ' and damp, soggy brioche. My husband never leaves food ... he ate less than half of this. The lamb main was average, the short rib of beef was lacking any flavour and vegetables were served nearly 10 minutes after the meat when 'the chef noticed they were still sitting there '. We were given a dessert menu and thought that perhaps cheese would be a good idea can 't do to much to cheese can you? but we 'll never know ... after waiting 20 minutes to place an order we gave up and decided to cut our losses. Gutted not the most memorable birthday meal! :"
