"We ordered from Abbey’s for the first time yesterday, as we’d recently moved into the area. I had the chicken korma with boiled rice and it was delicious, the chicken was tender and the korma was sweet and light. My partner had the chicken dupiaza with pilau rice, he said it was really tasty and not spicy. The flavours were balanced and he throughly enjoyed it. He says he might try something spicer the next time we order. We both shared some onion bhajis, poppadoms and vegetable pakoras. The portions are large so you certainly get your moneys worth. We ended up putting some of the food in tupperware containers, to have later on. The service inside the shop was great, it was comfortable and warm as we waited to collect our food. The lady on the phones was very polite and efficient. Overall it was a great meal, we ordered way too much considering the potion sizes, but it’ll not go to waste. The value for money was excellent. I am always very anxious about trying new places but I needn’t have worried!
