"Not what it was. The food was OK if extremely samey. There's nothing that shouts out individuality, and you could write the menu before seeing it . The atmosphere is becoming more motorway services than cosy country pub. They have added tables everywhere even cutting into the bar area which always served as a decent bar previously. As a local, its properly disappointing. Service was good although the waiters didn't know the specials and the board was too far away to see. Surely every restaurant starts each shift with a briefing on such things?"
