"We arrived at the pub for Sunday lunch, placed an order of roast lamb for me and jerk chicken salad with chips for my wife. I ordered a sparkling water and my wife ordered a small beer. We waited for 30 minutes and decided to sit outside until the food came. I told the waitress that I would leave my drink until I came back. We sat outside and then came back after 20 minutes, but the food still wasn’t ready. After about another 20 minutes, I asked a waiter how much longer and he said it is “in the pass.” The food eventually came about 15 minutes later and my lamb tasted processed and possibly frozen. My wife’s meal was also very average. I was offered horseradish which never came and when I asked for the bill, I had been charged for two roast lamb meals! The waiter, Simon, was apologetic and offered free wine if we returned. I can honestly say that I would never go back. My wife also said the ladies toilet was filthy! The restaurant was not busy and I cannot understand why the service and food was so bad. Incidentally, a couple of ladies on the adjacent table waited a similar amount of time and one of the meals was wrong when it arrived. She was offered an alternative and that never came! She watched her friend eat some tasteless ravioli and left the pub hungry. A total disaster all round!"

"So me and my girlfriend visited the golden pot last night for dinner.let’s say we won’t be returning the service was dreadful and the food was worse. The starters were cooked from frozen and the “ribs” were the processed boneless kind. The mains ,even worse...the mussels were also frozen which was disappointing as I’ve been told it’s great for seafood but my experience has told me otherwise. I won’t be returning as this is the worse experience I’ve had in such a longtime. So bad that it has made me right my very first review."

"Nice pub but food and service poor. We had reserved a table for breakfast with some friends as part of my wife’s birthday celebrations. In fact we were the only people eating at the time and there were just a few other people having coffees. We found our own table as noone greeted us. We had to go to the bar to order, as still, no staff approached us no big deal though. We ordered and each breakfast happened to have poached eggs with it. All 8 poached eggs were solid. My wife had smashed avocado which was mashed to death and simply smeared over the sourdough with the salmon alongside it. I didn’t want to kick up a fuss as we were having a nice time with friends anyway. I did mention it to the waitress, who did apologise, but that was it. Four breakfasts came to £80 so all in all not value for money."

"My husband, me and a disabled friend of mine visited this friendly and relaxing pub yesterday we all had the trio of roasts each one absolutely perfectly cooked, wish my crackling was as good as the Chef's! This is now the 3rd time we've had the roasts and all have been consistently fantastic. The staff are so friendly and helpful and made a fuss of our dog too, nothing is too much trouble definitely highly recommend this pub, a double bonus too is for us it is walking distance so we can sample the extensive but not overwhelming wine list and for my hubby the same with the selection of beer. We have eaten here a few times now and always receive the same reception from the staff."

"My friend I were looking for somewhere to lunch I decided to introduce her to the delights of the Crown Cushion as it has long been a favoured venue of mine despite not visiting for a while. We were politely greeted upon entrance seated in a booth in the bar area. Our food order consisted of Mushrooms on toasted bread with truffles a Chicken Satay for starters followed by Salmon fillet with a perfect sauce served with new potatoes green beans. My friend had the Sea Bass and Risotto with chorizo peas. For dessert we had the Eton Mess with grilled white chocolate alongside the pavlova. All food was brilliantly prepared presented very tasty. The lady serving us was approachable, friendly professional, I didn’t catch her name she was tall wearing a green top. I will be back again soon."

"I’ve never had such a bad and frankly rude experience in a pub. First of all I booked online and had the option ‘outside deck’ and upon arrival we were told that outside was first come first served and no table service so we asked to sit inside. The host Larrisa instantly became annoyed and informed us they had two large events and we put in the corner already feeling like an inconvenience from the get go. We ordered a bottle of Pinot and 4 mains meal 2 of which being the pork belly and scallops the salmon chefs special. We waited quite a while and a table next to us who ordered after we did got their food first. Upon arrival the pork belly and scallops was so so poor. The pork was extremely dry and chewy. The crackling was burnt and the bon bon was missing. The salmon arrived missing its potatoes and we were told ‘they come separately’. The pure and so called salsa was put on together in one big bland mush on the plate and the salmon was dry and over cooked. Neither people who had these meals had more than 3 bites. We waited over 15 minutes to get someone’s attention and finally managed to notified our waitress that these meals weren’t satisfactory. She removed the plates and said she would let a manager know . We waited another 15 minutes for the manger to ask if we were even okay. One receipt of the bill only the pork belly had been taken off and the bottle of wine we ordered over priced compared to the menu. I approached the manager Larissa privately to discuss the vast array of issues with our meals and requested the salmon be taken off too as she hadn’t eaten more than a few bites and she was beyond rude saying that’s how it comes and basically saying ‘deal with it and pay’. She said she had a large event and I advised to not neglect other customers. Overall it was an extremely rude encounter and awful service. I will never be dining here again and it’s a shame as this is a local as we’re new the area and work in the same industry. Don’t eat here if you know what’s good for you."

"I have nothing but positive things to say about this restaurant. Despite the service being a bit slow due to the large crowd, the servers worked hard and the portion sizes were generous. The menu was diverse and it was hard to choose because everything looked tempting. I highly recommend the well-prepared omelette. The staff I interacted with was helpful and friendly. The garden furniture was beautiful and well-maintained. The server, a woman with long dark hair in her late 20s, did an excellent job. I will definitely be returning to this place. I recently visited Redfields and was amazed by the beautiful front display. Whoever designed it deserves praise, it was wonderful."

"I reserved a table with family for my daughters 13th birthday. We were allowed to take in a few table decorations as well as a cake for after our meal. The restaurant was busy but our food was served hot and in great time. The food was great, everybody enjoyed their meal. Our table was served and cleared by Kirsty and Ellie, nothing was too much trouble. They checked that our meals were good, checked to see if anything additional was needed and always with a smile. I have visited previously and can honestly say that Kirsty is such a hard worker, nothing is ever too much trouble and she is always happy. She is lovely and makes a visit a happy one! Thank you all for a making my daughters evening so enjoyable"

"I would just like to say well done to the team in fleet this evening. Whilst I was in there tonight an Irish guy came in and tried to use a fake £50 note and the lady behind the counter dealt with the situation in...a very professional manner explaining she wasn’t going to give the note back as it was fake. The gentleman started to get aggressive and she stayed very calm and professional. The two young men working there too were brilliant, well done all. The gentleman grabbed the money out of the ladies hand and left the shop. Credit where credits due. No sooner the man left another man came in and ordered some chips, he was a little under the influence and decided he couldn’t afford them, I offered and paid for his portion although the two men working said they were happy to give the man his chips for free on this occasion. Two incidents dealt with admirably. The chips tasted great too !,"

"Had lunch with my wife and two grandchildren and I would sadly say that over the six years we 've been going to 'The Frog ' the prices and steadily increased and the quality of the food has slowly gone down. A few years ago you would get coleslaw and a small salad with the burger and chips and... I am sure the burger was bigger too. Now it 's costs £17.50 and is just a burger (with a few bits in) and frozen chips, no side salad, no coleslaw, not even any gherkin in the burger. Chips described as 'thrice cooked ' or whatever are still the basic frozen jobs, crisp on the outside, mash in the middle, standard cheap pub fare. Kid 's burger and chips £8.50, is even more basic, a dry bun (with nothing else) and chips. Thinking of Burger King or McD 's my grandson said It 's a bit boring, could have just had some lettuce or a tomato. Out of the mouths of babes..."

"The restaurant was average. We decided to have lunch there after seeing some local places that looked promising, but unfortunately the food was just average. The staff behind the bar were pleasant and chatty, but when the same person brought us cutlery, she was on the phone and didn't acknowledge us, just placing the cutlery on the table. The food took a while to arrive; I ordered the crispy duck noodle salad and my husband ordered the chicken burger. My salad had very little duck, maybe just 5 small pieces, and the rice noodles were clumped together like they had been microwaved. My husband thought his burger was nice, but for the price we paid, we expected more. The burger was £17.95 and the duck was £17.50. Overall, the meal was just okay, nothing special."

"We went to this restaurant on a weekday evening. The food was amazing and the prices were reasonable. The service, as others have mentioned, was attentive and unobtrusive. I will definitely return and have actually already made a reservation for tomorrow! They have a good selection of vegetarian options. Parking is easy to find on the high street in the evening. Overall, a great dining experience."

"Wow wow wow; we have missed eating the amazing food from this curry house. Now they are open after the emergency repairs have been done and cooking up the most amazing food. Starters to try; prawn puri, chicken pakora, samosa and lamb tikka. Mains; Ceylon, Madras, khodu Gosht and mixed grill. The staff are highly attentive despite how busy it is, atmosphere is electric and the general feel of the restaurant is relaxing and comfortable. Stuffed now! On a final note, if you want to try lots of different dishes, their indulge menu from Sunday to Thursday is affordable and simply perfect. Enjoy!"

"After hearing great reviews about The Oak Room, we were not disappointed. There was a slight hiccup with our booking upon arrival, but once sorted, we were well taken care of from pre-dinner drinks in the lounge to our meal in the main restaurant. The staff even noticed it was a special occasion and surprised my wife with a birthday message on her dessert while a pianist played Happy Birthday quietly in the background. The food was delicious and the service was excellent, making it a very enjoyable evening. We will definitely be returning in the future."

"Everything was very average. Bar was busy but we were met with are u a function? The red wine was poured very sloppily and spilt at base of the glass. Not noticed by the staff and when a serviette was requested to clean up it was handed to me Roger in with. None of the waiters/waitresses were particularly knowledgeable about the food. When the main course arrived it was presented by the waitress as 'who 's having fish '. We asked for a jug of water but glasses were poured no jug left and when one of us asked for a refill only one person in the table topped up before the waitress left totally ignoring 3 requests. When she did return to the table after managing Roger her attention her face said she wasn 't happy. We asked for a 10 minute break after the main course before having desert but then got asked a further 3 times in about as many minutes. It feels like the restaurant hangs in the name. Nothing special."

"This is a really nice cafe and just what was needed in Yateley. The tables are clean and the service is speedy, the coffee is great. The cakes look very tempting too something that needs real will power to resist. The only thing that spoils it is the parking a perpetual problem in Yateley but one that never goes away."

"Stopped here recently halfway through a cycle ride and had homemade tomato, honey and chilli soup (interesting combination) and the most gorgeous apple and toffee crêpe served with ice cream! There is limited seating inside but you can also sit outside in the courtyard. Great, personable service and authentic food, made fresh to order. Would definitely recommend."

"We decided to visit a local cafe for a late breakfast/early lunch and chose the Shack Cafe. It turned out to be a fantastic choice. The Shack Cafe is a traditional, old-fashioned English cafe that serves delicious home-cooked English food. I ordered the all-day breakfast which included 2 sausages, 2 bacon strips, 2 eggs, tomatoes, beans, mushrooms, chips, and two slices of bread with butter, along with a cup of tea with free refills. The meal was cooked perfectly and tasted great, all for just £7.00. My wife and daughter also enjoyed their meals, which were also good value. We will definitely be returning to the Shack Cafe soon."

"My work colleagues and I have taken on some over time at work so we wanted a quick affordable breakfast to take away. The baps and Baguettes are incredible! the meat is all fresh and sorced from local butchers (i am fussy with meat so...i asked before hand) so i took the chance and the quality is no processed cheap meat from icelands frozen etc. speedy, friendly service. only down side on the door it says only open monday-friday!!!!! its saturday and its open!!!! need to make people aware youre open weekends as you are losing out because the food really is amazing. will definitely be back here"
